I’m totally cool with them postponing Mad Men, just as long as they can fill that void with shows that look as rad as this one.
Love the premise, not the title.
Is it just me or does the lead look a lot like a young Daniel Day Lewis in this trailer?
All of AMC’s original programming is gold so I will give this a shot. Def needs a new title though.
you are so right, jobless. i was mildly curious about THE KILLING, but now i’m hooked. damn you, amc!!!
wow this looks awesome amc kicks ass
I think the title is terribly clever…in this post-reality world where that sounds like the newest bravo show about affluent biker girls, I think within the narrative, it’s a brilliant title. The train represents manifest destiny post civil war. Two powerful and horridly violent realities. The line about the divide of north and south only being healed by connecting east and west was brilliant. NBC needs to hire the guys that work for AMC
bring back RUBICON
jonathan I completely agree, I loved that show. AMC rules!
I tried watching Mad Men but think I missed the bus on it, love the walking dead and I love the Killing, I will definitely check this show out. And a shout it to Games of Thrones on HBO. I think I am done with scripted network shows, Lost was the last scripted network show I watched regularly.
You and me both missed the train on Mad Men. I want to beat those characters with a hammer. They are so annoying.
With the exception of Breaking Bad, it is almost like the stupider the name of a show on AMC, the better it will be, so based on that, this should be somewhere in quality between The Walking Dead and Mad Men. So, gosh, when is this starting?
I don’t understand your comment at all. Breaking Bad is probably the stupidest name of the bunch, but you say “with the exception of…” Are you saying Breaking Bad is not good? And are the titles The Walking Dead or Mad Men stupid? Go figure, I’m confused by someone who uses the non-word stupider.
OMG I am so watching this! I love this period in history, most of our outlaws came from this period ie-Jesse James. The autrocities that came and ruined families it left behind all because of a Railroad
Did my eyes deceive me, or was that Common in the trailer?
Your eyes do not deceive you.
AMC is the best. Breaking Bad is the best show on television. Watch it and try to argue that point…
I hadn’t watched Breaking Bad before, but AMC recently started airing the episodes from the beginning on Wednesday nights and I am loving it! Such a great show! Now I understand why Bryan Cranston keeps winning those Emmys!
Very Deadwood-y…even got a English/Scottish actor to be the bad guy.
Where are the Chinese people that helped build the railroad? America is more than just black and white people.
When was the last time you saw a Chinese-American on TV (let alone a whole community of them)? Just doesn’t happen on American TV.
