Jersey Shore‘s The Situation (real name Mike Sorrentino) said in a statement released today that he is “saddened” by the online video tirades released by his estranged father, Frank Sorrentino, earlier this week. In a series of bizarre videos, first seen on TMZ, the elder Sorrentino claims, among other things, that his son “abandoned” his family after finding Jersey Shore fame. In a second video, Frank Sorrentino claims the TV personality was fired from one of his jobs for inappropriate sexual conduct.

The Situation released the following statement regarding the claims:

Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino’s father has unfortunately decided to go public with some statements regarding Mike Sorrentino to garner himself media attention.  Mike is extremely saddened by his estranged father’s actions and the Sorrentino family, Marc, Frank, Jr., Melissa and their mother Linda, remain united with Mike under these hurtful circumstances. We are not offering any further comment at this time and are seeking the advice of legal counsel.

I love it. I watched both videos. I want to have a beer with this guy and hear stories about “the old neighborhood”. He should be a stop on a tour of the Boroughs.

  • Jessica

    Sitch, you’re on blast.

  • SaraS

I hope Mike doesn’t give his dad one DOLLAR – obviously his dad is blackmailing him. Who cares what he says about him, don’t give in to that awful parent or it will continue.
Plus, the story he told was stupid and didn’t make Mike look bad anyyway; actually it made his dad look bad.
