SOOO EXCITED ABOUT HAPPY ENDINGS!!!! love that show

    • S.O.

Definitely agree!! One of the best new comedies of the season. ABC needs to slot that right after Modern Family at 9:30pm.

      • WHAT ABOUT TOWER PREP?

WHAT ABOUT “TOWER PREP”??? That was the best teen drama on tv – please give more info!!!!

      • Jess

        What about THE EVENT?

NBC, please renew Outsourced. It’s a funny show actually.

      • meep

Breaking In- Awful. Desperate Housewives-menopausal. the Voice-Overrated. 2 1/2 Men- Juvenile show but hope it does well so Charlie can suck his own tiger blood.

      • bob

cancel all of them and start over fresh

      • tom

        stinkers

      • Keith Olbermann

The Event was cancelled. Read the article.

    • joblo

I like Happy Endings. But really rooting for BETTER WITH YOU and TRAFFIC LIGHT!!

      • Kyle

Happy Endings is much better than COugar Town and Traffic Light. Altought I’m a BWY fan, Happy Endings is still the best comedy for me.

      • amj

Cougar Town is awesome, so funny, so much heart! I agree about Better with You, I see it as one of the greatest new sitcoms.

      • Ally

I really like Better with You as well…I really hope it doesn’t get cancelled. Sucks that Traffic Light got cancelled- I thought that was cute too. And oddly- Outsourced has grown on me..I won’t be devastated if it goes but it has gotten better.

      • jmo

I can’t stand Better With You. It might’ve been good, in the 1990′s but it just feels tired and cliche. It’s a bummer that I have to find something else to do for 30 minutes while I wait for that show to end. Which is too bad because I really like Debra Jo Rupp from ‘That 70′s Show’.

      • @jmo

I plan my “evening round up” for those 30 minutes. You know, stuff like laundry, packing lunches, putting the dogs out one last time, getting ready for bed. I kind of like having the break. Same for “Outsourced”. I don’t hate either show but I’ve found them to be convenient breaks in my evening.

      • myangeldust

Traffic Light, Better With You, Happy Endings are really takes on Rules of Engagement. Which has more laughs per minute than those mentioned. However, PERFECT COUPLES was even funnier using the same mixed-couples-and-singles sitcom premise. Bring back PERFECT COUPLES! (I blame you, Paul Reiser.)

      • Anya

According to tvline Better With You has already been canceled. Idk why this site isn’t reporting that yet.

    • SteveStrifeX

You have two mistakes above EW (shows that aren’t listed as Renewed but have been). I’d tell you what they were, but you’ll just delete this comment and give me zero credit. So get to hunting

    • SteveStrifeX

And Happy Endings is creeping towards bubble/danger zone territory. It hasn’t found its ratings floorboard yet, continues dropping. The high early ratings are bringing its average up

    • Coconutty

I love Happy Endings too! My husband taped the pilot and I laughed out loud soooo many times, and now we watch every week. Glad to hear it will be coming back.

      • Jeremy

Ugh. The shows 4th episode actually rose to a 2.1 demo and its doing much better than Off The Map which was previously in the timeslot.

      • Eric P

Happy endings is not confirmed to be coming back…yet it has strong odds.

    • gazmo

Kim Bauer USED to be cute but now she’s a fat little troll (and just as annoying as she was on 24).
5,000 thumbs down for unFunny, unHAPPY ENDINGS!!!

      • Daniel

What’s wrong with you! Kim Bauer is one of the best characters… and Happy Endings is an amazing comedy.

      • Eric P

She’s hot! What show are you watching?

      • Mike

        Fat how is she fat?

    • Jerry

I love “Happy Endings” too. I laughed so hard during the pilot, so I knew I was in it for the long haul.

    • Tego Livi

I suspect Happy Endings would have a better chance at renewal if it didn’t have such a generic title. It’s a good show; it reminds me of a cross between Scrubs and Friends.

    • TJ. Church

You’re kidding; “Happy Endings” should be about its own cancellation.

    • CMD

Definitely agree. Happy Endings is the best new show this year. So hilarious without trying to hard. Good job ABC.

      • Futurama

I dont know about trying too hard. They’re trying to push the words “Amah-zing” and “gay-cist” into the zeitgeist.

    • DancerinDC

Me too! That’s why I came to this page – it was all I cared about! Hooray for Happy Endings!

  • Zach

Nothing ever changes. I keep waiting for a Brothers & Sisters decision. I have more faith in Desperate Housewives, though the delay is ridiculous.

    • Tod

      I know. B&S

    • LiLa

We love Brothers and Sisters and hope it gets renewed. But if it’s canceled, the season finale would also be a good series finale.

      • Jelana

I felt like they filmed that season finale assuming they weren’t getting renewed, it was such a clean wrap up.

    • Al

Brothers and Sisters has been running out of steam. How many paternity can they do? Rebecca, Ryan, Tommy and Julia’s baby, the surrogate, now Sarah. It’s like the Maury Povitch Show.

      • Anna

The idea is to give it a short season to wrap things up.

  • Laurie

Always amazed that One Tree Hill lives to see another season. That show is way past it’s expiration date.

    • Pan

I agree. More and more cast members have been dropping out every year. Just let it go CW. Let it go.

      • Lisap

I am a huge fan of the show and I honestly would just like to see it end at this point. I love it too much to stop watching, but it just isn’t there anymore. The Chase/Chuck and Kellerman story lines have potential but the writing is just not getting it across. It’s like an old pet, just let is rest for goodness sake.

    • Jamie

Seriously. When is this show going to just end already? It’s an absolute trainwreck and the show should have seriously ended after S4 at the latest.

      • Lucas

Although the last couple of seasons have been weak. I still enjoy the growth and relationships of the characters. Sure, the show is crazy, but it’s still creative and amusing. Besides their ratings are just as good or better than Gossip
Girl and 90210. LONG LIVE ONE TREE HILL!

    • shawnuel

      By, about, 7 years

    • Jay

I wholly agree. The show is boredom squared yet still get renewed

  • Lady

I LOVE Chuck, but I must say, if it doesn’t get renewed, maybe its for the best. If they end this season with Chuck and Sarah marrying, and a nice fade out shot, I would be more than satisfied. At some point you have to end it; I just don’t want it going on for more and more seasons; it’ll be like beating a dead horse after awhile. Why not go out on a high note?

    • allie

I completely agree. I would love another season but if it doesn’t happen it’ll end on a great note. If not it could end up with maybe chuck and sara having a baby next season or something. I just hope they don’t string it along just to get another season

    • Arnie

Chuck is my favourite show and I think it would get broader audience if people gave it a chance. It has something for everyone.

    • SteveStrifeX

I’d be ok with this being the last season of Chuck. I love the show, but ever since it jumped the shark at the end of season 2, my interest has been waning. The recent rating for it scream for cancellation, but the appeal of syndication and fan outrage may keep it on the schedule

    • chocolateislove

I love Chuck too, but this season has been more than lackluster. If it got canceled, I wouldn’t be upset. Well maybe a little upset that I wouldn’t see Zachary Levi on my TV every week.

      • mjhtvchick

I totally agree about missing Zachary Levi!! When I really think about it, missing one of the stars is the main reason I would be sad about a number of shows being cancelled…Chuck, Human Target, Chicago Code, The Event, Mr. Sunshine, V. I really like many of the actors in these shows so at the very least I hope they show up on my TV again soon!!

      • Lindsay

I am totally NOT OKAY with this being the last season of Chuck. We need one more season before I can let it go. I think it would be interesting as a Mr. and Mrs. Smith! Please save Chuck!

    • ILoveZacLevi

yes I would be fine with a nice fade out ending, but what are the chances of that happening. Apparently there is going to be a cliffhanger, so I would be very upset if we weren’t told the end of it. I’d be delighted if they were allowed like 13 final episodes so they could REALLY tie things up.

      • Eric P

If your show is in danger like Chuck is cliffhangers are a big F-you from the producers… Its your responsability as a producer to try to provide enough closure just in case.

    • Jeffrey C

A happy Chuck has been a boring Chuck. He’s overcome all his problems from being a spy to loving Sarah. Cliffhanger? Putting Chuck’s life on the line giving Ellie an Intersect would qualify. Still, it means more “spying is the family business”, and we’ve been down that road this season (and in Alias as well).

It’s really time Chuck started solving his own problems instead of pulling from the Intersect. I had hoped the Intersect jammer his mom pulled on him would force him down that route – engineering his own version of it.

    • cj

I wouldn’t hold your breath for the nice ending and fade out shot… the name of the episode is “Chuck Vs. The Cliffhanger.” They’re probably pulling what they did at the end of season 2. “Guys, I know Kung-Fu.” TO BE CONTINUED…
They hadn’t better cancel Chuck!! BEST. SHOW. PERIOD!

    • SteveStrifeX

Online reports are saying that NBC is going to renew Chuck for a 13 episode season (source: TVBTN). This isn’t an official renewal, but Chuck’s future looks good

    • ILoveZacLevi

yusssss! Chuck got moved into “strong odds”. The news I saw on all the Chuck sites yesterday made me sooo happy. =D CHUCK SEASON 5 FTW!!!!

  • Anna

I’d much rather see Harry’s Law renewed than LOLA.

    • nikko

LOLA was cancelled just in case you havn’t heard by now i realize the date of this comment LOL..SVU FTW!Pleasse be FTW Nbc? lol

  • hpfan12

Ummm… Chaos was cancelled last week.

    • Lisa London

Already? Wow, they really haven’t given this one a chance, have they?

  • Lily

I hope they keep Off The Map, it’s such a great show!

    • Lacey

YES!! The last few episodes were so awesome! Plus, I have to know if Mateo lives!!!!

    • Lee

I agree. Please renew OFF THE MAP.

    • mich

i also hope they keep off the map… i kind of miss it, i was quickly becoming addicted to that show and now they aren’t even giving reruns. the problem is the time its on; had it been on before greys anatomy it would have been a hit

    • Kacey

      Me too!

    • Alice

I agree! I fully expected to HATE it- but I can’t get enough of Mamie Garner and her pet chicken, Dinner.

      • Kelly

LOL! I love Off the Map. I hope ABC gives it a chance with a better time slot!

  • JL

So sad Perfect Couples didn’t get picked up! It was hilarious but I guess no one else thought so…bummer

    • allie

      Agreed. That show is funny

    • RayT

Perfect Couples shouldn’t even be in the “Dead and Buried” category. Things looked bad when The Paul Reiser Show replaced it, but now that TPRS did even worse in that time-slot, PC could come back. NBC hasn’t officially announced it’s cancelled!

      • SteveStrifeX

Sorry Ray, but Perfect Couples is done for. Paul Reiser was supposed to be the replacement since PC was doing so poorly; but just because TPRS did even worse doesn’t make PCs original ratings any more appetizing

      • RayT

Yeah, but it’s not OFFICIAL until NBC says, “This show is cancelled.”

      • SteveStrifeX

Truuuuue… but taking it off the schedule with 5 unaired episodes, replaced with repeats of the Office, is certainly not a good sign :-/

      • TW

“Perfect Couples” was a bad fit for the NBC Thursday night sitcom line-up. While the other NBC sitcoms set their humor in an inclusive big tent in which actors/characters come in all shapes, sizes, races, and ages, PC was the kind of “good looking 30-ish white yuppies-in-love” sitcom popular on other networks. It stuck out like a sore thumb on NBC Thursdays…and it wasn’t funny.

      • IMJae

They should have moved L&O/LA to Thursdays night at 10pm. Drama at Comedy worked for years on NBC. (Used to call it “Must See TV”)
Second, Mr. Sunshine (and Matthew Perry) deserved better writting and a stronger cast. It felt like he was trying to figure out what the heck he was doing in the middle of this mess!?

    • Debyjo

I LOVE Perfect Couples!!!!!!! I’m shocked the network could be so stupid!!!!

      • Heather

The show lost to the CW- sorry but it would be stupid for NBC to keep it after that.

    • Casey

SOOOOOOO GLAD that Perfect Couples got the axe. That show was so bad it hurt.

    • Futurama

Kyle Bornheimer is in a pilot for FOX called “Council of Dads”. He is a solid TV actor so hopefully he finds work.

  • brad

it is time to put Brothers and Sisters out of its misery. The storylines are just no longer compelling and the attempts at comedy just fall flat.

    • Lady

Agreed. I bailed on that show after the first few eps this season. It just isn’t good anymore. Time to call it quits.

    • K

Agreed. This used to be one of my favourite shows, but this season has been bad! Time to put it out of its misery.

    • Barry

While I agree that the show isn’t what it was, it at least deserves some kind of wrap-up. I am sure that the season has long completed filming, and I’m also sure that there isn’t resolution of many of the storylines. The show at least deserves that.

    • Kaye

I watched it when it started… and then it became “medical drama of the week”! First you had Sara’s daughter’s diabetes, than Justin’s drug addiction, than Tommy couldn’t have a baby than the baby had liver failure or whatever, than Kitty’s hubby had a massive heartattack… before he’s even recovered… Kitty has cancer..ugh, it became a drain to watch. When Kitty got sick, I changed the channel and never went back.

  • Sally

The Defenders and Chaos need to be moved to DEAD AND BURIED.

  • efrain

I’m glad the cape got canceled. It was too silly. It needed to sneak in sex & nudity!

    • Futurama

It provided some funny moments for Abed on Community

  • BRETT

This list is terrible. TVLine.com has more accurate predictions.

    • Lady

      ausiello, is that you?

      • BRETT

Nope. I noticed numerous errors. Just thought I’d point people to a better list. If you want to keep looking at this less-than-accurate list, that’s your choice. Just thought I’d share for the people who actually want the facts. But thanks anyways.

      • SteveStrifeX

I agree Brett, though your comment will only stay up till EW finds it and deletes it. They don’t like others knowing about more accurate website (cough cough TVBTN)

    • Jamie

Actually, the most accurate predictions I’ve seen have been over at TV By The Numbers. I don’t trust anything Ausiello says.

      • cw

TBTN’s list is unrealistic. That site’s a joke. I use it for the ratings charts, but it’s run by 2 snarky old guys who have no background in the business.

      • CA

@cw = actually TVBTN gets the ratings information from very reputable sites like Marc Berman from media week..who get their numbers from Neilsen. TVBTN just looks at that stats and runs em like they see em — and those two snarky old guys actually have been very much part of the entertainment industry, specifically the TV side.

When I see posts such as yours, it’s always apparent you post like you do because the site you diss is the one that’s been right.

      • gumby

TVBTN is accurate site and the ratings charts are great, but that’s about all. EW, TVLine and some other sites are much more accurate with their predicitions.

  • Fred Clause

It’s disrespectful to say smallville is dead and buried. THE SHOW IS CONCLUDING

    • samuel

      its in its last season..

      • googliezoo

Right, but the cast and showrunners are choosing to end it after ten seasons (impressive by tv standards these days). Dead and buried implies that the show was cancelled, which it was not, especially since all the other shows in the “dead and buried” category were cancelled.

    • fish eye no miko

I agree. If a show is concluding because the creators chose to end it rather than it being canceled, it should be in another category. “Final Season”, maybe?

    • Peggy

I thought the same thing when I saw the list. Smallville is ending because it wants to end, not because it is cancelled.

  • Lauren

I don’t get why Chuck is on the bubble every single year. It’s a fantastic show. Plus I hate it when shows don’t find out they’ve been canceled until after the finale’s been shot, because I love big epic series finales.

    • SteveStrifeX

Chucks ratings are very low, even for NBC standards (Had a 1.3 A18-49 last new episode, which would be poor for even a Friday time slot)

  • Brian

I really hope Traffic Light & The Chicago Code survive. And Happy Endings is the best new comedy of the season.

    • LOL

      CHUCK IS BACK!
