UPDATE: After drawing headlines for mocking Ashton Kutcher as the new Two and a Half Men star, Sheen just tweeted a complimentary reversal:
“#Winning Congrats to the cast and crew…CBS & WB..! My best to @aplusk!! [Kutcher's Twitter handle] The show must go on… You got the right guy! c”
Kutcher quickly tweeted back: “#2.5 @charliesheen Thank man. Always been a fan, always will be! BTW you were “born big”
PREVIOUS: Charlie Sheen has something to say about Ashton Kutcher taking his old job. Would you believe it’s not very gracious?
Sheen told TMZ: “Kutcher is a sweetheart and a brilliant comedic performer … Oh wait, so am I!!”
OK, so that was nice at least. But then he adds:
“Enjoy the show America. Enjoy seeing a 2.0 in the demo every Monday, WB.” Two and a Half Men usually averages more than double that ratings number, so Sheen is suggesting the show will tank.
Charlie then warns: “Enjoy planet Chuck [Lorre], Ashton. There is no air, laughter, loyalty, or love there.”
Perhaps. But there is like $1 million an episode. So there’s that.
Meanwhile, Men co-star Jon Cryer was, as you might expect, very diplomatic.

His “Michael J Fox” clause won’t stand up. Lorre says he was fired for cause. Sheen would have to prove that he was not in violation of his contract. What are the chances a judge, anywhere in this drug-war obsessed country, would decide to set the legal precedent that less than a week is enough time for rehab and employers are contractually obligated to acknowledge that? Slim enough for Charlie to beg for his job back. The other reason he was willing to beg for his job back is that Sheen himself knows that he isn’t some comedic genius that can make anything work. He was basically out of work when 2 and a Half Men started. Look at his IMDB page. I bet you never heard of half of those movies, at least after 1990 or so.
NOT TRUE jayman419 he was on Spin City, Chuck Lorre came to search him, at first he was not sure he will take the role but finally he loved enough the scripts Chuck sent to him and was amused that it was somewhat a t version of his real life so he did take the job. CBS only greenlighted the show because of “Charlie Sheen” famous star was on it. Don’t try to change the reality it makes you desperate guy.

Double Like! Never watched the show ONLY because of obnoxious, wife-beater and misogynist Charlie Dumb-ass Sheen. The network is likely to get a lot more viewers now that he’s gone, and America’s Sweetheart, Ashton Kutcher moves in.
Charlie needs help before he can move forward. Let’s hope Dr. Drew can perform a miracle! He’s a good actor, sure, but if he quit the junk, think of his potential…It would be a shame to lose him. He’s tried to run off the cliff twice now even though he has children to care for…pity my friends…pity. I and my friends will BOYCOTT anything he is in going forward unless he cleans it up.

Why couldn’t they just end the show with Charlie and Rose flying off to paris, then Allen gets a call the plane crashed in the Ocean. Have a scene on the plane where Charlie and Rose tell each other they Love each other. Then end it with Allen learning his brother left him everything, as long as he never moves his piano.

Charlie Sheen is a joke, and not in the good way. Talking about throwing away success with both hands. I never, NEVER found him fun or talented and he was lucky to have a show that was a hit. Now, I might actually watch the show.
My 88 yr old blind mother-in-law liked listening to the show–but not ’cause of Charlie–she liked the kid–I never enjoyed watching a drunk playing a drunk–that’s what bars are for. Now I’m looking forward to watching Ashton and the rest of the very talented cast doing it’s thing–minus Charlie.

Ashton has never come cloe to the kind of payday he’s going to get from this show, so I’m thinking he’ll be able to put up with whatever Charlie thinks that Lorre will throw at him.

I think he was telling the truth, HE was in talks. Meaning that he went around the country whining about how he wanted his job back, and his agent probably spent everyday on hold, begging to speak to Chuck Lorre.

Kutcher doesn’t seem like he’d fit the show. Also, replacing comedic leads almost never works.
Sheen did it following Michael J. Fox, so it can happen. Depends how they do it. If he plays the same character, it would be weird. I have no idea how they plan to pull this off.
Spin City was more an ensemble show, Michael Fox did not leave abruptly, they made a transition with Heather Locklear, Michael J Fox came back for some cameos, he still was the producer and finally it did last only two more seasons (granted the ratings were as good as for the last Michael J season but still) and finally it was still Charlie Sheen in Micheal J Fox sitcom..so the situation is different.
It also worked when Valerie Harper left Valerie after a contract dispute. They just brought in Sandy Duncan and changed the name to The Hogan Family.
They only have one season left, so it only has to work for 20 episodes or so. I think they can pull that off. I bet they can even get Charlie Sheen to make a cameo on the series finale, if they even want to.
Woody Harrelson and Kirstie Allen replaced others and the Cheers remained successful and very funny!
But Woody replaced Coach, essentially swapping one dim bulb for another. Granted, Kirstie Allie was different. But they had SO MANY people that were SO good (Sam, Norm, Cliff, Frazier, Carla, etc.) that it was always the sum of its parts. On “Men”, all the funny stuff basically ran thru Sheen.
I wont watch this show anymore now that charlie is gone.

I hope that they finally cancel this series. I am bored of it. Charlie Sheen had such a promising career and I am so disappointed to see the direction that his life and career has gone. He has done some great movies in his time such as Wall Street (1987), The Three Musketeers (1993), The Arrival (1996), Shadow Conspiracy (1997), Postmortem (1998), etc. I always wanted him to just do mainstream movies, particularly serious films and dramas, try to reach his full potential as an actor, join the A-list and try to win an Oscar. But now I have just given up on him. He hasn’t surpassed his father, Martin Sheen who still gets better roles and does bigger movies and he has become the laughing stock of Hollywood.
I’m betting Martin S has wished MANY TIMES that Emilio, not Charlie, had taken on Martin’s last name and that Charlie (Carlos), not Emilio, had stuck with Estevez. Ain’t that always the way it goes…..

Enjoyed the series, and all of the actors.I think it is just time to let it go, because it has been on long enough.
A Brit like Ricky Gervais, Simon Pegg, Eddie Izzard, Steve Coogan or Rowan Atkinson would have been a better choice.
