USA has a lethal weapon in store for the new season of Psych that’ll begin this fall on USA: An episode featuring Danny Glover! The co-star of the Lethal Weapon franchise will play a manager of a minor league team who seeks investigative assistance from Shawn (James Roday) when the team’s hitting coach mysteriously drops dead.
Baseball Hall of Famer and 1996 World Series Champ Wade Boggs will also appear in the episode, as will USA’s own Michael Trucco (Fairly Legal). He will portray a baseball player and childhood hero of Shawn’s who is a suspect in the killing.

I’m sorry, I still love the Lethal Weapon movies. I feel like I shouldn’t because of Mel Gibson and all that, but I can’t help it; the man is really funny in those movies and he and Danny Glover made them into the only interracial buddy cop movie franchise I actually enjoy. So I love Danny Glover for the Lethal Weapon movies and I’m looking forward to seeing him on Psych. This being Psych, I give it a 75% chance that someone will make a “too old for this sh*t” joke…bring it on! And bring on the new episodes. I need my summertime hit of sly pop culture references and goofy comedy! (I can’t believe they’re making me wait until fall for the season premiere.)
I love them too. Somehow I’m able to separate his personal stuff now from his work back then, even though I would never watch him in anything new. I also look forward to the “too old for this sh*t joke”!!!

I think not until October at the earliest. It got pushed way back, which is sad because it’s definitely my favorite USA show!

“Psych” won’t be on this summer?? I’m dying for new episodes. I keep hearing news about the great guest stars they’ve lined up, but nothing about the premiere date.
I hope they also get Christopher Lloyd or at least play off Angels in the Outfield. But that might be too 90s for this show.
