Nancy Grace departing 'Swift Justice'

That was swift, indeed: Nancy Grace is exiting her syndicated courtroom series Swift Justice with Nancy Grace after only one season. In a statement released by CBS Television Distribution on Tuesday, Grace attributed her departure to the move of the show’s production to Los Angeles from Atlanta, where she resides with her family and also hosts HLN’s Nancy Grace. “I am so proud of the work we have done on Swift Justice,” she said. “Leaving such a successful show was a tough decision, but, with the increased requirements of the production’s relocation to Los Angeles, it became challenging to balance my most important job — mother to John David and Lucy — back home.”

Grace’s replacement for next season will be Jackie Glass, a state District Court judge from Nevada who presided over O.J. Simpson’s 2008 armed robbery trial. Swift Justice, which recently earned a Daytime Emmy nomination in the Outstanding Legal/Courtroom Program category, is this season’s top-rated new first-run syndication series.

Nancy Grace is scary as Hell but seems so nice at the same time. She really is a normal person.

I’ve really disliked Nancy Grace ever since the Duke Lacrosse rape case. She lost a ton of integrity during that.

    • Rolo Tomasi

She has no partiality, everybody is guilty

  • Barry

Who cares? This is just another POS show.

Swift Justice wont be the same without Nancy! I love Nancy! She has great integrity and honesty is so refreshing! Family is most important so she has to do what she has to do! Good luck Nancy!

Yawn, whatever posts you have not yet deeetld are still in the public view. Or did some of your yammering get voted out of view with the SPAM button by our more intellectually honest readers?2) hardy har har. You accused me of presenting an argument based in popular opinion. I called you on it, repeatedly. Now you attempt to defend yourself by insisting it was you that presented the popular opinion argument. Are you truly that daft? You defend yourself by insisting I was correct.

Does not she look like she is constantly smelling a nasty fart?

    • Ems

      Ha!

  • Inece Houston

I like Nancy and I watched the show and sorry that she is leaving, but please, please bring back Judge Mathis in that time slot. He was more entertaining.

I wish someone would tell this woman to “STFU”. If they have an opposite opinion or want to state something that she doesn’t like, she threatens to pull the plug on them! Journalistic Integrity are two words she knows nothing about.

sing it!!! that is so true!!!

  • Dania

She always seems to be on the verge of tears.

    • etm

      I know!

I can’t stand Nancy Grace. Elizabeth Smart put her in her place gracefully and to the point during an interview when Grace tried that pot stirring schtick she always employs.

  • Ryan

Who’s Joel McHale gonna make fun of now?

  • Marc

Ugh…I can’t stand Nancy Grace, so ggod riddance. The real news for me here is that there’s actually an Emmy category for Outstanding Legal/Courtroom Program. Yeesh!

    • Marc

I meant “good riddance”, of course.

    • wakeforce

I like Nancy Grace about as much as I like Kate OR Jon Gosselin.

      • AcaseofGeo

Wakeforce, wow what an outdated reference. Jon & Kate? That’s sooo 2008.

  • gigi

*sigh* Nancy…you’re vest-y pant suits will be missed! Gone too soon.

  • ellen degeneres

    Who is she

  • maryb

Too bad I liked the show, but I’ll still watch her other show. Hope the new lady is as good.

Less Nancy Grace on TV can only be good for society – she was a manipulative actress who liked to exploit tragic stories for her own ratings. She spreads small mindedness and mistrust.
