First full trailer for Sarah Michelle Gellar's 'Ringer'

Tags: News

Better than those clips that were released during upfronts, here’s the first full twin-tacular three-minute trailer of The CW’s Ringer starring Sarah Michelle Gellar. The CW also put out today an extended trailer for The Secret Circle. The show has a different tone than anything The CW has aired before, but you can also see why CBS thought it might work better for their sister network. Are you not intrigued? Also: Fall TV trailers for for CBS, NBC, Fox, ABC.

This is one of the three new shows I’m looking forward to. Every clip just looks better and better.

So happy for SMG; I love Buffy and I admire Sarah as an actress. It feels good to get behind a project of hers again.

      • TQB

Doesn’t it? She’s widely regarded as great to work with and hard working. All of her co-stars adore her and even when Buffy was huge it seemed like she never let anyone think it was all about HER.

Yeah, this looks really cool and until now I was skeptical, but this trailer was pretty darn good. I’m very excited. And I loved the use of Nine Inch Nails’ “Right Where It Belongs,” I love that song.
Honestly though, this show seems more suited for a cable network, but whatever.

This looks pretty rad. I don’t think people really give Sarah her credit for carrying Buffy so well. Yes it was an ensemble but she lead it and lead it with an assuredness and grace lacking on tv since.

THIS LOOKS SO GOOD! Hysterical, I know, but I haven’t been following the news on this show, then watched this trailer, which granted gives way too much away, but it looks awesome! I’m rambling. But seriously, Sarah Michelle Gellar and Ioan Gruffud, and what’s his name from Lost. AND it looks like it’s going to be serialised, which is the only kind of TV I can ever get into – I can’t wait to see what deliciousness this show will cook up.

  • TQB

Dude! That looks awesome – although, more movie-like than series. Curious as to how it will move forward with the premise.

i was waiting for yall at EW to mention it loll it looks AMAZING! it looks grown up. but contrary to you, I really dont see why CBS would have passed on it.

    • Robin

It’s too serialized for them, I bet.

  • Friday

I seriously hope this is as well done as it looks. SMG rocks good material.

  • Andy

Was that Richard from Lost? I am totally 20% more excited now that I’ve seen this trailer. Why is this show going to be airing?

  • Michelle

The trailer has me intrigued and I will definitely watch, partially because I plan to keep tabs on all of my favorite Lost actors, and Nestor Carbonell was certainly one of them. But where does a show like this _go_ necessarily?

    • elenaisawesome

That’s what I was wondering. I mean, Drop Dead Diva kinda did the whole “ooo secret life reveals” but it had more than just that as a plot. I’m super-excited, but a little nervous…

  • gerald

I am so excited with this, keeps getting better and better. No wonder this is getting so many good reviews! Plus I’m happy that CW is finally trying to broaden their audience with shows like Nikita and Ringer.
I’m so happy SMG is finally back! I really hope this does well. Having said that I agree it gives way too much away. In case you are wondering its going to be serialised

  • Justin

Thank you CW, because the first 30 second clip they had, made this show look awful and cheap. That preview is great.

  • MWeyer

Much better look at the show, nice setups and especially like the final bit where it’s hinted the one sister planned all this. Can’t wait.

  • bruno

    cool.

  • Tajah

Looks very interesting. Will definitely watch it now! So happy that SMG is back on TV.

  • ggny

i seriously dont get why the hell they would pair this with 90210

  • Buffyjunkie

Phew! I wasn’t exactly sold on the premise and while intrigued by the first few clips, I was still skeptical. But this looks pretty awesome. I was looking forward to this show only because of SMG but now I’m flat out psyched about the show itself!

  • mia

Looks awesome! Can’t wait for it. This clip was much better than the last.
