Tips (48 hours after the special product is invalid)
It looks like a worthy successor to Misfits of Science, but without the comedy (or the cool rocker that shoots bolts of electricity).
Funny, this is exactly what I was thinking!
First thing I ever saw Courtney Cox in! And yes… me too!!!
Aw! Misfits, c’mon! I’m loving what I see of Alphas plus I caught a glimpse of the excellent Callum Keith Rennie. Love Yoba and Strathairn.
Betas: We made your car with the sticky gas pedal.
you are so awesome for mentioning that Michael Sacal!
Finally Sci original which is screaming potential. I’m still mad caprica canellation. I’m dismayed by BSG:Blood and Chrome won’t have any Ron Moore involvement. Hopefully Syfy will consider picking up 17 precinct.
ryan cartwright? yes, please!
I know. Mr. Nigel-Murray is back.
so that’s where he went! so sad he was killed on bones. looking forward to all his quirks in this new show.
Intriguing….I like that the superpowers are sort of low-key and (vaguely) plausible. I’ll wait and see if it’s cool or if it’s the next Heroes.
So it’s X-Men?
Yeah, basically. It seems every superhuman-human show nowadays is a blatant X-Men rip-off.
More like Mutant X. Which is also an X-Men ripoff. But even X-Men isn’t an original idea really. Sci-Fi anthologies from the ’50′s had similar characters and stories.
Think of it like X-men on Xanax.
Xanex… meaning they are less anxious?
Love it. I’m in!
I’m also a fan of Malik Yoba. Good actor.
I’m a fan of anyone who’s name almost spells yoda.
Ok, Josh, I will agree, it’s got a level of x men too it ( the majority of the charachters are similar to other x men characters if your read the comics, like I do) however, comn man, did you see the Fall Line up for this year, even though it’s on sci-fi, it has a lot of potential.
Looove David Straithairn. Add in the adorable Ryan Cartwright and I’m thinking I may be watching Syfy for the first time ever.
How much you wanna bet it won’t last 3 seasons?
Expect LOTS OF TALKING AND LITTLE ACTION because Syfy can’t afford to show sfx all the time!
The way shows get cancelled nowadays you’d be lucky to get 3 seasons. This looks like it might be expensive so unless its hugely successful, expect it to be cancelled in a season.
Three seasons on Syfy? Hilarious…
Looks very promising. I will tune in.
I predict that it will be over in one season. I guess I’m an alpha. Who knew?
It looks full of potential. Hope it’s great and has engaging depth. I’ll admit though, I sighed at the black character having the power of being a super-strong hothead rage machine. I won’t touch that one.
Holee flurkin schnitz! It’s Mr. Nigel-Murray.
Looks good and plus it’s got David Strathairn, but I guarantee SyFy will find a way to muck it up. They always do.
Mr. Nigel-Murray!! Hurray!!
looks like no ordinary family to me…i’ll give it a chance..
