Best show on TV. By pushing it back to July, I’d be surprised if AMC won any acting Emmys this year.

    • Johnification

It’s already been public knowledge that the show will be ineligible this year, hence lots of people talking about which lead actor will final be able to sneak in a win with Cranston on the bench this year.

      • Mr. Holloway

I thought it’d be Jon Hamm for sure thanks to his stellar work in all of season 4 (and particularly in “The Suitcase”, which I’m guessing he submitted), but Steve Buscemi has been winning everything for “Boardwalk Empire.”

      • Michelle

Yes I know. I’m thinking the only award AMC will be getting this year is make-up for The Walking Dead.

I’ve always thought AMC doesn’t support Breaking Bad in the same way they do other shows. Where are the calendars and other products? Why are the seasons for Mad Men and TWD released months beforehand while Breaking Bad is usually only weeks, giving new fans much less time to catch up (if they haven’t done so already online). It’s always perplexed me as to why AMC has treated the only show that’s won them acting Emmys this way.

Michelle, in response to your comment about not giving people time to catch up. I had heard so much about Breaking Bad last year and how it’s such a great show that my wife and I spent last summer watching seasons 1-3. Of course, we caught up in July and then found out we’d be waiting a whole year before season 4 would be airing!! Anyway, we’ve told everyone since then how great the show was and they’ve been watching too. People will find ways to watch season 3 or just wait until it comes out in July and devour it before the premiere. My wife and I couldn’t wait for the DVD and purchased the season on Amazon and downloaded it to our TiVo. I think you’ll be surprised at the spike in viewers when this show comes back. I agree, this is one of the best shows on television now. Can’t wait!

      • Michelle

Mike, I’ve heard that there has been an increase in fans and it makes me so happy! Unfortunately, I think BB will need more fans because of the amount of viewers TWD received and the cancellation of Rubicon. There’s a great article in the recent issue of New York Magazine about AMC and how it’s run. Vince Gilligan is also among the show runners they interviewed about creating and running a show.

Irony: EW.com complaining about another site not having embeddable video.

Ironic icing on the cake: AMC’s trailer readily offers an embed code.

    • James Hibberd

Valid on both counts, I hang my head. Updated.

  • Jacob

Was there even any new footage in that? I couldn’t tell. It all looked equally as depressing.
    Can’t wait!

    • MN

Agreed. Was there anything new in that? Super excited regardless.

    • Anitamargarita

NO! There wasn’t. Maybe in the audio but I doubt it. The only thing new was the release date. So, yay for that I guess.

    • wino

you’re right, no new footage. i wonder if they dont want to show spoilers, afterall they did end season 3 with a big cliffhanger.

  • Peter

    Woooooo!

  • rowan729

Ya-hooooo!!!!! Happy dance, happy dance, my Sundays in July just got 100 times better!!!!

In response to that “teaser”, there is NO NEW FOOTAGE. BOO. However, they set the tone for us right away, with the haunting piano, the dialogue chosen and the final line that says everything changes. I felt this show had veered off a cliff at the end of season 3 and couldn’t wait to see where it went for season 4, since the game has totally changed now. No more “let’s pretend I’m an innocent guy” act from Walt, and that DOES change everything, as the trailer says.

Absolutely CANNOT wait til this one comes back, it’s been far too long!!!!

  • Mike

CANT WAIT! Best show on TV

  • Mark

    AAARRRGGGHHH!!! Must…avoid…watching…..trailer…and…must…avoid…reading…the…above…comments…….!!!!!
(I think I may have to stay off the internet until July – I got such a giddy rush from watching (and rewatching and rewatching) the final scenes of both “Half Measures” and “Full Measures” that I don’t want to rob myself of another “HOLY SH*T!!!” moment by knowning anything that happens in season 4.)

    • Ryan

      It doesn’t show any spoilers.

    • Lisa

Don’t worry. It looks like it’s mostly clips from previous seasons.

  • Justin

Bryan Cranston had a great run and as much as i love him on this show, its time to give Michael C. Hall his due for his flawless work on “Dexter”!

    • mikeman

“dexter” isn’t even in the same building as “breaking bad”.

      • Ryan

Dexter as show isn’t on breaking bad’s level, but Hall does an amazing job on it. However he won’t win Best Actor, because Jon Hamm will, or possibly Steve Buscemi. Hall will be in 3rd Place.

  • Anna

FINALLY!!!!!! What a great trailer, even though it’s all old footage. If this season is anywhere near as good as the past three have been (and really, how can it not be?), BB will (hopefully) have a clear shot at the Outstanding Drama Emmy next year… since Mad Men will be out of the running and all…

    • Ryan

Actually wrong. Breaking Bad won’t be eligible for the Emmys this year and Mad Men will be.

    • Stacy

She said next year. But if Mad Men starts before June 2012 they will be eligible for the Emmys.

  • Tully

So exciting, can’t wait. Love the show, I want to hug everyone who works on it.

  • Gibbs

Can’t find Season 3 available On Demand. Why? Would like to see those episodes again before the new season begins.

    • Ryan

They announced Season 3 will be on demand starting sometime in June. I think they said June 20th maybe?

    • Dave

AMC has been airing a few episodes (in order) every Wednesday night. They air kind of late, so I have been setting them on my DVR and watching the next day. I believe they are airing three episodes tonight, the final two episodes of season 2 and the first episode of season 3. So over the next several weeks, all the season 3 episodes will air. Try to catch ‘em!

  • Chris

I cant wait for the new season.Best thing on tv. Even better than sopranos, shield and wire. Have watched the first 3 seasons all over again and found them even more enjoyable 2nd. time around.

  • It_Really_Is..

    Best.Show.On.Televison.

  • jacob

How is this just announced? I got the premiere date from their site weeks ago.

    • Heather

Yeah. Me too. I’ve had it marked on my calendar for at least a month… I thought maybe it had been changed and that’s why this article was written. Weird.

  • jmag

    The game has changed..
