Other than his response to Ashton Kutcher’s hire on Two and a Half Men, we haven’t heard much from Charlie Sheen and what his plans are now that he’s not returning to CBS this fall. But that doesn’t mean the 45-year-old actor isn’t looking to make a major life change: Sheen has listed his 7,924-square-foot house in Beverly Hills for $7.2 million.
Up until a year ago, the public wasn’t familiar with Sheen’s Mediterranean-style mansion with five bedrooms, seven bathrooms, a swimming pool, and a spa. But then a certain porn star (or two, or three) came over to his place to party and suddenly his home in a hilltop gated community became a huge source of intrigue, especially since he ended up using it as his personal rehabilitation facility — a.k.a. Sober Valley Lodge — rather than leaving Los Angeles to seek help at a reputable treatment center.
But why is he selling? The house definitely has its share of bad mojo (see: the above paragraph) but there could be more important reasons to warrant a sale. Sheen’s lifestyle doesn’t come cheap; on top of the private jets, high-priced companions, and his other extracurricular activities, the actor still pays a reported $1.3 million combined to support his two ex-wives and four small children. He may have worked as the highest paid sitcom star in TV by raking in $2 million an episode, but that salary is now gone. And his multi-city road show this spring was a short-lived, and no doubt a relatively meager source of income.
In fact, when CNN’s Piers Morgan interviewed Sheen in February about all the money he has made on Two and a Half Men, he replied, “Doesn’t mean I save any. Save schmave.” The quote was mentioned in a profile about Sheen in Vanity Fair, which also claimed the actor attempted to collect a $1 million fee for agreeing to do the story (he never got it).
Still, there’s a good chance the home sale is not about generating fast cash. Even if Sheen dumped the pricey mansion, he still owns several throughout the Los Angeles area, according to reports. And though he may have lost his $2 million per episode salary on TV’s most-watched sitcom, he still collects upwards of $500,000 per episode for residuals.
He may not even remain unemployed for that long. One high-powered suit at the Big Three net told EW that he would absolutely develop a comedy with Sheen if he cleaned up his act. And why not? The public did like him at one time: A Harris Poll earlier this year listed Sheen as the sixth most popular TV actor (CBS star Mark Harmon is No. 1). Then again, Sheen may not even need to come back to TV to make a living: TMZ just reported that a social network called EstablishedMen.com offered Sheen $3 million to endorse the sugar daddy website.

Sad to say, but Charlie Sheen’s been broke for years and all the rehab he’s had nothing has fixed him.

This does not surprise me because Sheen is MORALLY BANKRUPT as well.
Of course he’s low on money. He’s got to PAY young women to be with him. Plus all the hangers-on that keep telling him how great he is.
Um, just because he’s selling one of the two houses he owns on that block doesn’t mean he’s broke. Celebrities sell off houses all the time. Is this really a story, kinda thin.
From what I’ve read, Warner Bros is holding on to the residual checks from the syndication of Two and A Half Men until after Charlie Sheen settles his lawsuit with the studio. So he’s probably short on pocket money right about now.
I like how these news services like to spin off that “he is selling his house and may nee money”, but fail to mention he bought a larger house around the corner for more money.
Ashton Kutcher replacing Charlie Sheen? Please. Whatever Charlie did in his personal life may not have been right, but he worked every day, except for rehab and knew his lines. The whole show will take on a new tone. I, for one, will not ever watch it again unless Charlie comes back.
“He worked every day, except for rehab” — the failure to see the sadness or the hilarity of this “defense” is the common element of all the sad, sad Sheen defenders. He might not be broke now, but coke’s not free, and given that his future chances are all dependent on him cleaning up his act … he has none.
And you know that how ?
Maybe he is cleaning up his act right now..you want to bash but you don’t know nothing so get over it. And yeah he just bought another house..ah and by the way Forbes (which did some share of bashing reports towards the guy still said that he is one of the stars who made the most of money this year whereas he was fired and just got paid for eight episodes instead of the usual 22/23..)

Not what you’d call breaking news – this was on TV last week sometime. It ws in a larger story about seveal Hollywood celebs who are putting houses up for sale.
Charlie will come out of this, he is too smart and too motivated to just fall completely apart. Two and Half Men will be a complete failure without him, Charlie is the show. Good luck Charlie, you can pull out of this and become even better then before, thats a fact!
Of course some smart producers will want to work with him, he is talented, smart and funny (yeah his life style is quite wacky and he has some addictions issues but newflash it is the case for most of Hollywood. He just decided to be honest with it and suddenly he became son of Satan for puritan hypocritical America..sad to witness this mob mentality..)
So yeah another comedy..why not but actually i would prefer to see him come back to movies..he would be awesome in a Coen movie (Comedy or Drama) or a Tarantino movie,a Terry Gilliam movie..well some great and creative material for the guy.
