The TV Academy always picks an interesting combo to announce the Emmy nominations each year, and this time that early morning honor goes to: Joshua Jackson and Melissa McCarthy.
The Fringe and Mike & Molly stars will reveal the Academy’s picks at 5:40 a.m. PST on Thursday, July 14.

I will be up early to watch this. I love them both. Hopefully you can watch it online.
Here Hoping the both get NOMS!!
I also thought immediately that at least One of them will get a nom… That is how it usually Works with the announcers of the Emmy noms.
Yeah, though I wouldn’t really EXPECT either. I guess McCarthy probably has a better shot out of the two.
Yeah Also thought only one would get nominated. and i also agree it will prob be Melissa McCarthy. As Much as i Love Fringe i doubt Joshua Jackson would get a nomination for best leading or supporting actor.
Sure!!! Time for Fringe to get some noms!!! John Noble, at least…

I am SO looking forward to that premiere!
I love Josh Jackson!!!!!!
Oh I know, he is so fine! Diane Kruger is so lucky!

Here’s hoping Jackson’s presence indicates at least one big nomination for “Fringe”. Preferably for John Noble.
John Noble is so overdue for a nomination. I’m just thankful that Mad Men won’t be walking away with another best drama win. It’s a good show but there are better dramas out there, I feel it’s very overrated. Dexter or Breaking Bad far surpass MM. Does anyone agree?
How do you know Mad Men won’t win again this year, especially coming off yet another strong season and without the major competition of Breaking Bad?
Yeah it’s going to be tough to beat the Emmy favorite. The show just shows no sign of deteriorating. It’s just a fantastically told and executed story. But I do agree with Jen that there are other quality shows out there that deserve some love too. I wouldn’t say they FAR surpass MM, but they at least share an equal playing field.
@Jen.. I think you mean next year Mad Men won’t be nominated don’t you?
Oh crap, have I screwed up the time lines? So the Mad Men season that aired last summer will be eligible for this years awards?
That…is…awesome…

I hope, but I doubt I hear Regina King`s name called for a nomination for `Southland`. The series should also be recognized.
Fringe is LONG overdue for a few Emmy noms. It’s truly unbelievable how long it’s taken for at least John Noble to be given a nomination for Best Supporting Actor.
As long as modern family and ty burell win everything will be good
Agreed on Ty Burrell, I think he’s the funniest of a very funny cast. And Modern Family is definitely deserving overall as a comedy. But, I’m hoping for some Community love this year. It was firing on all cylinders!

It sucks but Sci-Fi doesn’t fly at the Emmys. Battlestar was robbed or take The X files: There where 6 or 7 years before it got silly & Duchovny was nominated only twice & never won.
Gillian Anderson won Best Actress, though, and even “Star Trek” The Next Generation” got a Best Series nod one year. It’s harder for scifi to break through, but I think the day is coming. (Though it’s always been possible: Leonard Nimoy was nominated three times for the original Star Trek.)
LOST – won best drama for Season 1 and was nominated for Best drama for 5 of the 6 seasons (it’s a shame because season 3 ended up being fantastic in the end) And they also picked up a bunch of acting nods and wins along the way. Granted, the year they won was the LEAST Sci-Fi of the 6 seasons…but there was still a MONSTER on an Electro-Magnetically charged ISLAND! lol
Forgot my reasoning for mentioning all of this -> I still have hope for Fringe this year.
Wow, maybe this year is the year the presenters won’t get nominated
