There’s no slowing NBC’s The Voice. Tuesday night’s two-hour episode delivered a solid 12.2 million viewers and an impressive 4.5 preliminary rating in the demo, basically steady with last week. It’s America’s Got Talent (12.3 million, 3.3) lead-in was also strong, though slipped 11 percent.
NBC’s reality hits easily ranked as the top two shows of the night, while Fox’s Masterchef (4.3 million, 1.9) was modest, yet stable with last week’s edition.
In other ratings news, here’s an update on MTV’s Teen Wolf: The freshman Monday night drama launched at 2.2 million after the MTV Movie Awards a few weeks back. Lacking a giant lead-in for episode 2, the show dropped to 1.5 million. The third outing this week promisingly rose to 1.8 million. While far from Jersey Shore and Teen Mom territory, and not exactly a breakout hit for a scripted show either, the viewership is decent and the network is pleased with its performance in its key 12-34 demo.

‘The Voice’: What you didn’t see on TV?

You know what other show did really well with the 12-34 demo Monday night – ABC Family’s Switched At Birth
Javier will win. He needs to sing amazing love songs.
It won’t matter if Javier wins! He’s already had a record contract, CD released and a so-so single. He is not commercial enough for this decade. Plus, check out his dome when he’s not hiding under the hat—– YIKES!!!!
That’s a good show too Craig. I’ve been watching both Switched At Birth and Teen Wold. Completely different (obviously) but I like them both.
The Voice also lost substantial numbers of viewers with each half hour
9:30 was better than 9:00, so you’re wrong. I don’t mind people hating the show, but at least get your facts right.
The Voice is actually a pretty good show which I’m surprised. #slangwhotv
Love Love Love The Voice Voice Voice
I’m a little surprised how much I like watching The Voice. The battle rounds were a little tough to get through but the live shows have been really awesome so far. I just wish that the judges gave some constructive criticism! I saw a glimpse of that w/Xtina last night but c’mon folks…
They’re coaches, not judges …
Does anyone know what will happen with the Top 8? Will the 2 surviving members of each team battle each other, or will they compete against the members of the other teams already?
I thought the show was boring and the talent not so great. Haven’t been watching lately. And the format/rules are confusing…..
Who gives a rats ass about a bunch of eneducated losers watching crap like that?
Yeah billy, we’re all sooooo eneducated.
