More big balls coming your way next year: ABC announced that Wipeout is coming back for a fifth season, but with a twist — Vanessa Minnillo will be the new co-host, replacing Jill Wagner.
“We will miss Jill, but are thrilled to welcome Vanessa to the team and excited to bring her enthusiasm to the show,” said Wipeout creator and executive producer Matt Kunitz. “She is a great host with a fun and natural energy that our viewers will love.”
Minnillo was a co-host on MTV’s TRL and judged ABC’s reality show True Beauty. Wipeout is airing a sneak peak on June 21 and then will officially premiere on June 23. The next season will consist of episodes airing next winter and summer.

Well, that’s disappointing. I’m not a huge fan of female co-hosts who are just there to interview people (I’m looking at you, Brooke Burke), but I liked Jill’s spunkiness and willingness to roll with the contestants’ odd personalities.

Agreed but in all fairness, it wasn’t their choice. She wants to leave to pursue her acting career. Apparently, she’s on Teen Wolf now.
This show is probably slightly more retarded then that one with all the fake italians. And that is bad.

What other “viable answer” are you looking for as to why people watch a comedy show other than “cause it’s funny”? I realize that any TV you watch must be directed by the Cohen Bros. and emotionally challenge you at every turn, but sometimes people watch shows to LAUGH. And I happen to think watching idiots fall down is hilarious. If that’s too low-brow for you then using the remote would be a good choice for you. I won’t either. Vanessa is beyond annoying and I think she’ll be far more concerned with looking her best to actually laugh and have a good time.
