FX’s Wilfred debuted last night as the network’s highest-rated comedy premiere ever.

The show drew 2.6 million viewers and a 1.2 rating among adults 18-49, and if you include the show’s encore, the performance rises to 3.8 million. Gotta say, I loved this pilot and glad it’s getting such a strong start. Keeping the high-concept idea rolling will be the trick. FX’s Louie also returned improved to 1.6 million viewers and a 0.8 rating, up 42 percent from its first season premiere.

      YAWN!

They should have just aired the Austrailian version instead, Americans are not morons, we can handle accents. Just stay away from the InBetweeners and Outnumbered, also stay away from Fawlty Towers

Why stay away from Fawlty Towers? It was brilliant.

      • NO REMAKES

you want them to remake Fawlty Towers? NOOO!!!

      • ikagirl

No, not remake it, just air it. The previous post was remarking on why an American version, and wanted the original. Then he said stay away from Fawlty Towers….was hoping for clarification as to what the stay away remark meant.

They tried a version of Fawlty Towers back in the 70s, just after the original was shown here in the US. Look up “Amanda’s” on IMDB — it starred Bea Arthur and was supposed to be the US version of Fawlty Towers. It tanked, not surprisingly.

    Loved both Wilfred and Louie.

“Don’t let your sister die because you are awkward with strangers.”

    Louie’s payoff was hilarious!

Wilfred (the dog) was hilarious and I’m glad that Elijah came on board and wanted to do the U.S. version of this show. I couldn’t believe all the bad behavior Wilfred and Ryan got up to in the first episode (The shower scene, the home invasion, those two boots)!

  • Shannon

The show is mad and Wilfred’s antics are not nearly as entertaining as, say, Triumph the Insult Comic Dog, but it held my attention and I like Elijah Wood, so I plan to keep watching.

Haven’t Seen The Show Yet, Waiting For It’s Always Sunny And The League to come back.

    • Kevin

I have only seen season 1 of The League and it’s great. Non stop laughing from start 2 finish.

  • EL

The pilot was a big letdown. Hopefully it gets better as it goes along.

But Louie and Futurama were great.

  • Kevin

I forgot about this and Louie. Damn! I just finished season 1 and think Louie is down right hilarious. I can’t believe how much FX gets away with putting on basic cable.

I’m going to record a few more episodes, but I wasn’t in love with the premiere. :-/ Maybe it’ll grow on me?

  • Mikey M

I liked it. Fun in a weird sort of way.
I watched Louie for the first time. Not all that great to me.

  • Sofia

I loved it…….funny!!!! That dog/man is just hilarious and Elijah Wood was great.

      ARE YOU HIGH?

I agree the show is great. Just wanted to know if you were high.

      • Shannon

        Bahahaha

  • RL

I don’t know why these guys are excited about 2.6 million viewers. Re-runs of The Office, 30 Rock and Community were in that range. RE-RUNS.

    • Shannon

      It’s FX.

  • Shane

I think it’s funny that the writer of this article loved the pilot?”, yet the one who reviewed the show in this weeks issue gave it a C-.

  • vin

I liked it BUT I don’t like it as much as I thought. It was too weird for me.

  • vin

    I liked Louie though
