There’s no such thing as a time out from making fun of NBC’s The Marriage Ref! The show returned to a modest 4.6 million and a 1.6 preliminary adults 18-49 rating Sunday night. The summer debut is down 67 percent from its in-season debut last year, though still maintained its lead-in rating from a repeat of America’s Got Talent and won its hour.

you mean their wedding pic with the ny post article? i don’t get how that tells the whole story??
Hot chick. Dorky guy.
NBC talent shows may be hits…but like The Apprentice…Ref is a dud!
I realy think Larry Gilbert was the whole brain behind SEinfield.
I watched the show and they really have to step up their game if they want their viewers to keep watching. I hope that the show gets better from here. My husband and I were on the show and really enjoyed it(stripper pole)The man that is suing the show because his wife left him for a shot at fame needs to realize that there must have been something deeply wrong with in their marriage before the show. He needs to blame his wife for leaving not the show, they never made promises of fame. The show it was all out of fun and the ability to let the world into your life and the stupid things married people fuss about. Since the show my husband has put a stripper pole in our bed room but I will never get on, but the show did not make are break us. If nothing else it gave us the ability to laugh at our self as we let others laugh with us. Good Luck Marriage Ref
Interesting he blames Mr. Seinfeld for his dumbo wife ditching him. I would think her being a fame-ho would have a lot more to do with it. I completely forgot this show was coming on. I haven’t seen a single commercial for it. NBC must not be that highly motivated to keep it going.
Agree with Lauren – I noticed zero promotion for the show. It’s like the network assumes we just sit around waiting for our shows to come back. Sorry – in this multi-media universe, you have to fight for our attention.
You are right ladies I can’t wait to see what comes out of this law suit and the show!
The guy didn’t stop to think that perhaps his wife had dreams of reality show stardom *before* they, y’know, appeared on a reality show (The Marriage Ref) together?
People are such morons. Obviously life was not exactly peachy keen to start with if they went on the Marriage Ref. Maybe now they should go on Dr. Phil.
sounds more like he’s in trouble financially and looking for someone with deep pockets!
How embarrassing – I CANNOT believe that they continue to ask people “who is the rightest?” Rightest is NOT word and is it horrible that they continue to ruin the english language like this.
We LOVE the marriage ref, and the only reason why we missed the first several episodes was because we were busy moving. (Thanks for letting us catch up, NBC!) I liked the format of Season I better than Season 2…the ref needs to stay the ref, love his quirky attitude even if I don’t usually agree with him. Every time we watch this show, my DH & I think about what odd things we like to fight about. Such a great show…
I must say that I agree with Mello season 1 was a lot better than season 2.Maybe they are saving the best for last. I enjoyed the stripper pole couple and some others from season 1 maybe they should have brought them back for better rating!!!!!!
