Waiting for season 6 of Dexter is murder, but here’s something to tide you over — a first look at an image from the first episode! (We pause for a SPOILER ALERT.) Witness blood splatter analyst/serial killer Dexter Morgan (Michael C. Hall) squatting by a stitched-up corpse while preparing an evidence bag of… baby snakes? “That is the first mysterious kill linked to Professor Gellar that’s going to cross Dexter’s path and let him know that he’s up against a killer, the likes of which he hasn’t seen before,” exec producer Scott Buck tells EW, referencing the charismatic religious studies professor that will be played by Edward James Olmos. “This is a person who’s sending out a message, and Dexter can’t wait to figure out what that message is.” To see another image from the new season, which debuts this fall, check out the issue of EW hitting newsstands on Friday. Everyone complaining about spoilers it says so at the top, and just because you know who the bad guy is does not ruin anything. We knew from casting in season 4 who the Big Bad was and look how that turned out. True fans remember-nothing is what it seems on Dexter.
