He’s back! Kinda. It wouldn’t be Comic-Con without Damon Lindelof on stage for an ABC drama series. We don’t have Lost to obsess about anymore, but Lindelof will be in San Diego to moderate the panel for ABC’s new fantasy series Once Upon a Time (and, presumably, to support Cowboys and Aliens).
ABC just announced it will also have panels for the more Lost-esque midseason mystery drama The River, as well as for Charlie’s Angels and Castle.

Damon must die for The End.
I think thay was more Burt Reynolds fault.
JJ Abrams was on Howard Stern recently to promote Super 8 and Howard kept hammering him to explain WTF the island was and what The End was all about. JJ kept trying to change the subject but Howard & the callers wouldn’t let him. He eventually said that “the island was a real thing & place and what happened there actually happenend”.
So overall the island was just a place on Earth where weird stuff happened. I understand that but the producers miscalculated in thinking that no fans would want any follow up explanations.
Then JJ Abrams told Howard that you have to ask Damon & Carl for more info since they wrote most of the episodes.
Funny stuff
I don’t think the producers miscalculated anything. They said very clearly in the finale to “REMEMBER” to “LET GO” and to “MOVE ON”….while that was meant for the show, it also served a dual purpose for the fans. They know fans would ALWAYS have questions and they also knew there was no way to really answer them all. In fact, part of that reason is because some of the questions fans obsessed over were never MEANT to be questions. But due to the design of the show, we questioned EVERY single second of the 6 seasons. It made for great discussions along the way, but it made for an almost impossible feat to close the story. I thought they did an amazing job telling a great story over 6 years and I have no regrets. And the news that Damon is at comic-con makes me jealous that I won’t be!
Mike – I am a huge Lost fan and have largely made peace with the finale, but you are incorrect. Those are the exact questions the producers encouraged us to ask. Starting in the Pilot with Charlie’s “Where are we?” later with “When are we?” and everything in between. Wild speculation was encouraged, because it keep the show popular and the fan base loyal. TPTB always give the Ben Kenobi example, when Ben gives a simple explanation of the Force, we didn’t ask for me, we just accepted it – and I agree with TPTB. But we got that explanation in movie #1 of a 6 part series. We didn’t wait 6 seasons for it. Imagine if that was your driving force for watching Star Wars and you got no explanation until the Emperor’s talk with Ankin in Ep III about metachlorines?
Ooh, heaven is a place on earth.
Tee hee!
‘Once Upon a Time’? This wasn’t in response to a buzzed about one named ‘Grimm’ was it? Oy.
No it wasn’t. I always thought “Once Upon a Time” was the one that got the buzz considering 2 of the LOST writers are the showrunners.
Damon Lindelof is the man. His Pollack interview was legendary, so he should be a great moderator. Wonder if there will be any Prometheus stuff?
Oh great, he had a hand in writing Cowboys & Aliens; I was actually looking forward to that one. If the aliens end up being angels sent to retrieve Daniel Craig from Earth, I’m goona cry…
What about Modern Family?
Yeah, what about Prometheus?
I’m glad you liked this book! I have yet to read any of them. I watch the TV show, so I don’t know if I should read them or not. I just don’t want anhyting to ruin the show, haha!
He is just adorable!! Is he single?
