ABC just gave a big show of support to its summer cop series: The network picked up Rookie Blue for a third season. In fact, season three is already in development and will shoot in Toronto later this summer.
The drama ranks No. 1 in its Thursday at 10 slot among adults 18-49. ABC says Rookie Blue is producing year-to-year gains, improving by 8% in total viewers and by 14% in adults 18-49 versus the network’s averages in the hour last summer.
Rookie Blue follows five ambitious rookie cops and stars Missy Peregrym, Gregory Smith, Charlotte Sullivan and Enuka Okuma.

yay! I thought this show was going to be cheesy when it premiered last summer but it’s become one of my favorite shows!!

@Joey – I too have never heard of this show, I just watched a couple of show clips…..and this show is definately not for me. If people want to watch a good cop show, then watch repeats of Blue Bloods or Castle. IMO.

I watched this show once and thought it wasn’t a very good cop show. Also, I absolutely hate the title; like they tried to put it in the same vein as NYPD Blue.
The first season was good. This season so far has been awesome. The stories are so much better and the flow of the show is much better.
Rookie Blue is an honest to goodness old time cop show. Yes, a little predictable at times, but full of decent stories and fine acting. Missy Peregrym is not only jaw-droppingly gorgeous but a fine young actor! More! More!

Rookie Blue is my favorite show. I have fell in love with all the characters and they have some outstanding actors. I hope more viewers will take note and watch S3. The finale in S2 was so great!!. ….
