Aaawhoooo! MTV has renewed Teen Wolf for a second season. The werewolf drama will return for 12 more episodes next year.
Wolf draws about 1.7 million viewers each week — far from Teen Mom or Jersey Shore ratings, but still within expectations for the network’s fledgling scripted division. No word yet on whether The Hard Times of R.J. Berger will get a third season and, as you know, Skinswas cancelled. “We’re incredibly proud of this show … an exciting, cinematic story to life with a breakout young cast who our audience has wildly embraced,” said David Janollari, head of MTV Programming. “Picking up ‘Teen Wolf for a second season marks another step towards the further diversification of our schedule, with this big, bold, entertaining scripted series.”

Yay! it’s surprisingly good and scary…
Hopefully they will spend more money on special effects next season. They are laughably bad.
Awesome…i’m really enjoying it although i don’t think the main guy is that good of an actor
couldn’t resist could you? tyler posey does a great job playing both roles.
I wish MTV would renew music videos.

THANK YOU TELEVISION GODS! I’m so happy! Can’t wait to see where this show goes, it’s my favorite on TV next to True Blood right now.
Also, I needed some good news to make up for the complete act of stupidity from Netflix. Thanks again MTV!!
I’m so old, I flipped on it thinking it was the original one.
I think I’m too old to be their target audience, but I really enjoy the show, and am glad it was renewed. Hoping it can continue to improve in season 2, as Buffy did. Several of my coworkers, also outside the targeted demographic, also love the show.
You’re never too old. I too am older than the target audience, but I’ve always enjoyed vampire & werewolf stories. So, Teen Wolf & Vampire Diaries are right up my alley!! And they’re both doing a great job with their stories.
