Booth and Brennan won’t be sleuthing it out in San Diego this year: EW has confirmed that Fox‘s Bones will no longer have a panel at the 2011 Comic-Con. Stars David Boreanaz and Emily Deschanel were to join creator/exec producer Hart Hanson, and executive producer Stephen Nathan on Friday at 1:45 p.m. in the geek confab’s spacious Ballroom 20, but a rep for the show says Boreanaz and Deschanel pulled out of the panel “for personal reasons.” There will be no replacement panel from Fox.

Personal reasons in Hollywood = money, money, money. Their demands weren’t met, most likely.
Actually they just got to work on Season 7 this week and I heard that the schedule has been harder for ED than anticipated as she is so far along in her pregnancy. I’m betting that either they are both needed on set or that it is the pregnancy and DB is just saying he can’t go either so all the blame for canceling doesn’t fall on Emily.

When people watch a show, and decide eventually they don’t like it anymore, they become surly and insistent that other people don’t watch it either. That’s all this is. Lost got that a lot too.

It seems silly but Bones is actually quite good and it’s one of the highest rated and respected TV series. I don’t watch it but I know a lot of people who do. It’s much beloved.

Why is Bones at Comic-Con anyway? I’m not trying to be a wiseass but I thought CC was for comics and sci-fi movies and TV shows. While I enjoy it, Bones is really just a procedural. I read somewhere that Glee is there too. Has it expanded to just any show that wants to host a panel?

I always refer to Chris Colfer’s character as the little gay robot. He’s like the son of Vicky from “Small Wonder.” One expression throughout the entire show.

No, it’s really more of a comic-fantasy-scifi thing that Hollywood took over. Personally, I think they bailed because that hack Ausiello was moderating their panel. If only the cast of “Glee” would follow suit.

1. David B’s, scandal from earlier this year . . . why get questioned about that, right?
2. Deschannels, pregnancy . . .
3. Going to cancel after this season . . . which after 7 seasons ENOUGH!

He faced-off 4000 people, and 4000 people did welcome him and Emily and Hart. Nobody asked personal questions. I love Bones, and I was looking forward to several more seasons. So was my Mom and sisters.

Love both shows but I tend to agree, especially House. How many years can we deal with Hiouse’s drug addicted ways? I thought the show would get better with him and Cuddy finally together, but I was wrong; he’s back to taking his drugs again – kinda like Charlie Sheen.

I guess the producers of the event will host panels from anyone to boost attendance.

I tend to agree: CC should be for actual comic, scifi, fantasy related shows movies and books, not just anybody who wants to buy booth space. They’re using a convenvenient crowd to sell their product/show.
Agree. It’s morphed into something out of control. Non sci-fi shows riding the coat-tails of loyal sci-fi, comic book shows with loyal and strong fanbases. Lame.
Comic Con people complaining about shows being there, get over it. Don’t go, don’t spend your money. Don’t watch all the blogs, websites, G4 and all the stuff Comic Con will have because TV, Movie and Internet is there. That includes this story. Sheesh.
I hope all in well for both and believe me, I doubt that was the only panel that people would pay all of that money for.
