'Ringer' art with Sarah Michelle Gellar -- EXCLUSIVE

Ringer-Sarah-Michelle

In anticipation of Ringer’s debut at Comic-Con, EW obtained an exclusive first look of the art and posters for the drama that debuts this fall on the CW. The panel for the series — which marks the return of Buffy the Vampire Slayer’s Sarah Michelle Gellar, plus Lost heartthrob Nestor Carbonell – will take place at 1:45 p.m. Thursday in Ballroom 20 at the San Diego Convention Center.

Moderated by EW’s own Kristen Baldwin, the panel will also feature stars Ioan Gruffudd (Fantastic Four) and Kristoffer Polaha (Life Unexpected), along with executive producer Pam Veasey (CSI:NY), and co-executive producers Nicole Snyder (Supernatural) and Eric Charmelo (Supernatural). Added bonus: One hundred fans who attend the panel will receive the show’s official Comic-Con poster signed by the cast. For a peek at the posters (Gellar’s in a collar, guys!), go to the jump:

    I miss Buffy.

    • Daniela

Who cares about Buffy!? Ringer is the law! Well, at least, the only thing I’m really excited about is Kristofer Polaha looking like a bad guy, besides handsome Nestor Carbonell and Ioan!

      • HD

I liked Buffy but I love SMG. I don’t get why people keep thinking this is Buffy 2.0. Let that show RIP. It’s like Revolutionary Road, I was shocked by how many people actually thought it was a sequel to Titanic. Can’t wait for Ringer, it looks really intriguing And Sarah looks hot in that black dress.

      • Mr. Big

I agree. Buffy is FINISHED. Although SMG is The CW’s publicty weapon, people should stop thinking that Ringer will be Buffy 2.0, because at the end, they will be dissapointed. Interesting cast, I love it!

      • daisy

no Buffy fan woule ever think this is Buffy 2.0, and you people saying people should stop just look like idiots. SMG will ALWAYS be associated with that roll, and the fans of that show will follow her career. Trust me when I say she appreciates it so you are the ones who should probably zip it.

      • Mikey M

Who cares about Buffy? Why you posting here troll. You do realize that SMG has a huge fanbase from that show and that it was a great show as she was.

    • Lisa

Yeah, I do too, and Spike. sigh.

  • TVAddict

    I can’t wait!

    • chase

OMG!!! This brother lovessss SMG but this show sounds stupid… PLEASE PLEASE PROVE ME WRONG

  • harry

    YES!!!

  • tracy bluth

This just makes me miss Buffy and Lost…

    • Matt

Indeed, especially Buffy; I don’t think the show looks great, but even if its good, I’ll watch it for SMG.

    • Simm Fan

Yeah, seeing Nestor again really makes me miss Suddenly Susan.

      • Z

        LOL!

  • Swarles Barkley

I’m glad to see they are still putting eyeliner on Nestor Carbonell, super hot. I also miss Buffy! Can’t wait to check in with this show.

    • Ashlee

Look at a closeup screencap of him – it’s clear there’s no eye makeup, he just has abnormally thick, black lashes. What a waste for a man to get those.

      • Swarles Barkley

Ack! I didn’t look at the closeup. That’s too bad then because the eyeliner really worked for him (in my opinion).

    • Ruby

Actually, Nestor never wore eyeliner, even on Lost. He was born was those eyelashes. He said when he was young he got made fun of constatnly…and on Lost, they even put makeup on his eyes to make them look less like eyeliner…but to no avail. Total waste on a guy.

  • Kevin

Can’t wait what the cast of RINGER will say at COMIC-CON this week.

  • ZR

the eyeliner jokes are getting old

    • Lisa

      They really are…

  • Jaden

Love it! Can’t wait for Ringer to premiere! So excited about Sarah’s return to tv and the show itself!

  • Jonesy

Wow. Looks terrible. What happened to Sarah Michelle Gellar’s film career? Oh, yeah…she did turkeys like Scooby Doo, The Return, and The Grudge. No wonder she’s crawling back to TV. (and not even to a REAL network) LMAO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    • Willow

      How sad for you.

    • JR

How is CW not a real network? It has it’s own channel, doesn’t it? Produces shows — many of which are successful, right?
And… many actors do TV and movies. She’s more successful in TV, and what exactly is wrong with that? They have steady work, get paid a whole lot more than you do, I’m sure.
If you’re going to criticize, which is totally your right to do, atleast make the points constructive and valid.

    • Marc

True. Not to mention she was never a good actress to begin with, and her so-called film career never really took off. She was always seen as that “former-TV-Cheerleading-vampire-fighter-who-now-does-crappy-teen-films”. At least now she’s back in her wheelhouse, namely, mediocre TV trip for mediocre wannabe-”networks”.

      • Tim

She is not a bad actress. Go watch Buffy and you will change your mind

      • Rose

Buffy was a cheerleader for all of one episode, so clearly you didn’t watch the show. You’re soooooo smart.

      • Pip

Do your self a favor. Go to the nearest Blockbuster, get the fifth season of Buffy on DVD and watch an episode called “The Body”. That will change your mind.

    • heyugumby

CW has some excellent shows as do several other “wannabe networks”. Her film career tanked possibly do to some bad choices in projects. The one thing that can’t be denied is that BTVS is an iconic show & Buffy is an iconic character. We should reserve judgement on the new show. Just because SMG is in it doesn’t mean it’s gonna be great. She was only one part of what made BTVS great. She doesn’t guarantee success.

  • Nat

Buufy and Lost FTW! I will def be watching! Welcome back Sarah!! I missed you!!

  • Gina Vera

I hope the shoe lives up to hype because I really lke SMG and the concept seem cool.

    • Two Headed Sex Beast

Yeah if it does I might have a shoegasm.

  • Nick

    I can’t waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaait

  • nitemar

Great anticipation for this show and SMG. <3

  • Annie

I love Ioan Gruffudd and hope he and SMG have hot chemistry. Heck, let’s hope she has hot chemistry with all the men.

  • Scott Reading

Cannot wait!!! have missed SMG soooo much!!!
