How will CBS’ The Big Bang Theory resolve season 4′s big cliffhanger?
Producers and cast at the show’s Comic-Con panel had a prepared line for the obvious question ready: “There will be a resolution,” says executive producer Bill Prady. “And we think whichever way you came down on how it happened, you will be happy with how it works out.” (For those who missed the episode, as EW’s Adam B. Vary put it in May: “Leonard and Priya on the precipice of breaking up after he learned she’s planning on going back to India; Howard reeling from his fiancée Bernadette’s wild professional and financial success; Raj possibly supplanting Leonard as Sheldon’s roommate; and, oh right, Penny and Raj drunkenly falling into [Leonard's] bed together, and everyone else discovering them the morning after”).
The cast was asked what their favorite moment from the series was so far:
“I usually say kissing Kaley [Cuoco],” Mayim Bialik said. “But when Amy and Sheldon had their drunk kiss, that was my favorite.”
“Where I had a little old man grab my ass while we were dancing,” Kaley Cuoco added. “He was this little older man and he was so nervous and it was against everything he believed in. And I was like, ‘Honey just grab it.’”
“Kunal’s look to Kaley when she wakes up next to him the next morning,” said Johnny Galecki.
“I enjoyed wrestling with Kunal on and off camera,” joked Simon Helberg. “Putting a unitard on … it’s a very convenient piece of clothing.”
Of course, a fan asked when Sheldon will lose his virginity, but asked in a great way: “When is Sheldon going to go through Pon farr?” (For the non-Trek oriented, this is when a Vulcan basically goes into heat.)
“Sheldon seems singularly devoted to science — only time will tell,” Prady says.
On the difference between Sheldon and Amy’s characters, Prady says: “Amy’s game. She wants to have the experiences she hasn’t had — and some of them burn between her loins.”
Parsons says his character’s famous Rock, Paper, Scissors, Lizard, Spock scene took the most takes of any scene he’s ever shot. “It nearly broke me as a man.”
Season 5 will debut in September.

It’s not kolinahr…it’s pon farr!
Kolinahr is the ritual where Vulcans purge all emotions. Pon farr is when Vulcans must mate or die. Source: pon farr-Star Trek, The Original Series Episode “Amok Time”. Kolinahr-Star Trek:The Motion Picture
I was in the panel. He definitely said Pon Farr!
You are correct! I was aided by a poor Vulcan translator after the panel. Thanks, fixed.
What kind of Garbage answer for the clift hanger . What ever side you come down on you’ll be happy . i say that is a typical BS answer from a producer . I stop watching this show . But get angery when i see producers wimp out with answers like that just onec i want to see a producer grow some grapfruits and answer a question with truths and not some B.S. answers that mean nothing becuase 90 percent of the crap that come out of a producers mouth is crap the other 10 percent is parcial truths .
Can you please translate your comment? There are so many spelling errors I had a hard time understanding it? Please do explain.
He’ll explain it as soon as he grows some grapfruits.
Bootsy, honey, I don’t think he can grow acorns, let alone grapefruits.
someone needs to pet a puppy or something…sheesh
?
Nice photo of Galecki! He looks like he’s spent the last 72 hours partying with Charlie Sheen!
They’ll finally kill Sheldon.
Bout time.:)
Perhaps nothing went on between Penny & Raj. Maybe she put the moves on him & he froze because he sobered up.
I love this show.
They better never put Sheldon through “Pon-farr” or whatever- they remove his asexuality, the show dies. That simple.
The ‘Pon-farr’ question was great, but Prady’s reaction and answer indicates to me that Sheldon’s asexuality is a given. CBS has posted the entire panel appearance, and all of them were very funny. Nice to see Melissa Rauch as herself, imitating Mrs. Wolowitz.
Can’t wait for next season!
