Lady Gaga to perform on 'The View' Aug. 1

Lady Gaga will kick off the final week of The View‘s 14th season next Monday, Aug. 1, performing her new single, “You and I.” Gaga last appeared on The View in May to promote her current album Born This Way. The daytime show is an appropriate venue for Gaga, whose latest records have heavily riffed on female empowerment.

This crap has been on for 13 seasons already? How fitting to have a mediocre musical performance to kick off the 14th season of shame.

Read again you dumb slu+. It said final week of the 14 th season! I hope Gaga molests you in your sleep with her big disco stick!

  • Nick T

No! I was hoping she would not choose that as the next single. She should have went with one of the dance tracks.

I agree completely! Exactly what I was going to say. OR: take one of the mid-tempo songs (like Bloody Mary) and sing it acappella on the piano.

I love Gaga…BUT she needs to step back and re-focus… It’s like she’s believing her own hype and it’s ruining her “art”. It’s kinda like Glee it was good when it started and then they believed they’re own hype and turned out garbage…

And yet Gaga and Glee still continue to make millions of the almighty dollar regardless of what they’ve become. Most people simply dont care what they’ve become. Who cares? Shes Lady Gaga, easily on of the most recognized names in the world, she could make a song about a washing board and ppl would still buy it.

Now to a more important and serious question: Why is The View still on?

    • JackieB

Agree Eric P. It’s not inspired anymore, just wild and out there. And her new album in no way is the “album of the decade”, unfortunately. (And I’m a fan.)

She’s on her 4th single already? Yikes. Born This Way had the whole Express Yourself vibe going, Judas bombed, and Edge of Glory wasn’t that glorious in the end. Now, You & I. I guess if she wasn’t in the news her little monsters wouldn’t have anything to do.

Her latest singles have been heavy on female empowerment? Really? What ones? Born This way? Not really. Judas? I wouldnt say so, no. Edge of Glory? Its about dying, not female empowerment. You and I is about her boyfriend. So… not so much with the female empowerment anthems.

  • JackieB

I think she should do Marry the Night at the piano instead. So tired of You and I. It’s obviously about that Luc guy in NY and he’s such a bum!
