Ned Flanders may be a God-fearing individual, but apparently he’s not afraid to slice and dice. In this clip from The Simpsons’ annual Halloween episode “Treehouse of Horror XXII” — which was shown last weekend at the animated Fox comedy’s Comic-Con panel — the opening credits of Dexter are given a Springfield makeover, with Flanders assuming the role of the meticulous serial killer, Dexter Morgan. As we’ll learn when “Treehouse of Horror XXII” airs Oct. 30, Homer’s pious neighbor believes that the big guy upstairs is instructing him to murder various residents of the town. Click below to enjoy the diddily-dum-doodily dark side of Ned Flanders.

Awesome!
Can’t wait to see it when it airs.
sweet!!
Oct. 30? So ToH is finally airing BEFORE Halloween instead of after? YAY!!!
It did two years ago also. I missed it because of that. >:(
Woo-hoo!
Wow! It’ll actually air before Halloween this year…
Cool. I still love The Simpsons!!!
I think they had a pretty good season this past year. Looking forward to a new season for the first time in a while. Go, Simpsons! I grew up with you & never want you to go away!
sounds like this will be GREAT… I <3 The Simpsons and I <3 Dexter — i am VERY excited
I love the Simpsons Treehouse of Horror series – I’m surprised that it’s actually going to air BEFORE Halloween, in the past, it always aired either a week or two AFTER Halloween.
I’m hoping this new Treehouse of Horror will be darker than the last one and thank god that finally its airing around the week of Halloween.
Treehouse of Horror episodes are nowhere near as good as they used to be, but this preview’s great. And it’s going to air before Halloween.
Dexter — that’s a good subject. At least it’s something that relates to horror. Too often, they just have a lot of death in non-horror stories (Mr and Mrs Smith, A.I., Transformers). And how have they gone this many years without doing The Ring, Blair Witch (or found footage in general), Sixth Sense, or Saw? Or go back to the classics — Texas Chainsaw, Evil Dead, Suspiria. Or more Twilight Zone parodies.
They did a Saw parody in the episode where Homer and Marge renew their wedding vows and get married again because the Rev. didn’t have a valid license. Patty and Selma kidnapped Homer and forced him to do humiliating things.
Ah, didn’t see that one. Must not have been a ToT ep. And that points to one of my complaints about the recent seasons. The regular eps are so weird, they’re indistinguishable from the Halloween ones.
It was a regular episode. It was from season 20 and was called “Wedding for Disaster” It originally aired on March 29, 2009 (according to wikipedia).
I really liked the scene where they give Homer a hot-sauce lollipop with a key in it, but it wasn’t a key – the key shape was actually hotter hot-sauce. Boy, Marge’s sisters are mean.
I can’t wait for this!!
“He was quiet, kept to himself.”
Yup-those are the ones you always have to look out for.
It’s true. If anyone in that town would turn out to be a serial killer, it’d be Ned.
But Flanders doesn’t keep to himself. His schtick is that he’s a nosy neighbour.
