Chuck‘s final season continues to get more intriguing. Last week producers revealed Luke Skywalker himself, Mark Hamill, will guest star as a villain at the start of the fifth season. Now EW has learned another actor from major sci-fi franchise is getting on board: Matrix star Carrie-Anne Moss.
The former Ms. Trinity will have a multi-episode arc as Gertrude Verbanski, “a former spy who now runs Verbanski Corp, the chief rival of Chuck’s new spy company. She’s ruthless and deadly, yet she also has a weak spot for one John Casey — her old rival.”
Producers of the NBC cult fav teased to Casey (Adam Baldwin) getting a love interest for the final batch of 13 episodes at Comic-Con last week, and earlier today news broke that Craig Kilborn would guest as a villain on the show. After The Matrix trilogy, Moss appeared in Disturbia and has done voice over on several videogame titles.

CHUCK ME!
FINAL SEASON???
What? You don’t want it limping around waiting to be shot like “Heroes”, do you?
Hits keep on coming (in a good way). Chuck Me is apt
.
goosebumps!!she’s certainly worth the wait, Casey!
That’s awesome news! They do love the guest stars on this show!
My want dream for the season 5 finale would be to have Chuck Norris guests as Chucks granddad…
SO MUCH WIN!
Holy cow, I haven’t even followed Chuck and I’d watch that. xD
I think he’d fit better on the Casey/Coburn family tree.
That would be amazing! Then there’s gonna be guest star nerd-gasm the entire season. They’ve already got Mark Hamill, Luke Skywalker himself, guest starring in addition to this!
Some good guest stars! So much potential in Chuck
Half action, half comedy, half geek. There’s a lot they could do, if they were given another couple seasons
Anyway, looking forward to final? season of Chuck, in all it’s glory!!
Who knows KUNG FU? Chuck. Casey. Morgan. Captain Awesome. The Jeffster.
ONLY GETTING BETTER! Love the CHUCK!
Love it! But I’m so sad this will be the final season…figured they could get at least another 3-4 good seasons outta this GREAT show. I will enjoy it while I can I guess.
Yay for Chuck scoop!! I think she’ll be great on the show, and I’m definitely looking forward to Mark Hamill.
craig kilborn? that guy’s a joke. i’m surprised he’s still relevant in the business…
Can’t wait for Season 5 of CHUCK on NBC. I’ve loved this series since it began in 2007. It’s just the quirky, action-packed, adventure, spoofy, romantic comedy that appeals to my sensibilities.
Mine too. I’m disappointed that we’re not getting a full season but grateful that we’re at least getting 13 episodes. It was decent of NBC to allow them to wrap everything up. I will miss Chuck, Casey, Sarah and the Buy More gang though.
There better be one more appearance of jeffster. I love those guys
I hope they extend the season like they did last year. I love Chuck.
Extend to full season! Or everyone should fill NBCs office by mailing in all of their used computer equipment. I have just one question: NBC What are you going to put on that is better? You have about a 1 in 5 shot at gettig better ratings with something else. So, don’t piss people off and garner a little loyalty.
Of course, I heard that season 4 was originally only planned for 13 eps, so maybe they will round 5 up to a full load. Although, I hope they really do ramp things up from last year. They cut back on the physical comedy and action and Chuck was way too competent and confident. I fell in love with the goof-up, everyday kind of guy Chuck and his girlish screams.
My absolute favorite show. Soooo bummed that this will be the last season. I hope they do a good job wrapping it up.
I think its great that karrie will be on chuck
Chuck is really pulling out the big guns for it’s final season. Way to go!
finally Casey gets a love interest!! can’t wait!! CHUCK rules!!!!
I had kinda’ hoped he’d get together with his ex now that she knows he’s still alive.
I loved Carrie Anne on FX: The Series. Unfortunately she was only on that show for the first season.
