Between her gigs on Nickelodeon’s Clarissa Explains It All in the early ’90s and Sabrina the Teenage Witch, Melissa Joan Hart has a place in the hearts of many nostalgic once-upon-a-teens. But the former kid star is all grown up now and currently on ABC Family’s just-renewed Melissa & Joey, starring opposite fellow ’90s staple Joey Lawrence as Hart’s character’s male nanny.

EW caught up with Hart for a chat about the past and present, and though much time has gone by since she first broke the fourth wall as Clarissa, it’s clear that even after all this time, she still has no trouble still explaining it all.

ENTERTAINMENT WEEKLY: Please explain…why Sam had a ladder to Clarissa’s room and her parents didn’t mind.
MELISSA JOAN HART: You know, we never really addressed it. Actually, there was a blooper reel where Joe [O'Connor], the guy who played my father, said, “Sam comes in here, every day, unannounced, into my daughter’s room…” So we were aware of it on set, but on the show we never addressed it. I think it was just that Clarissa was a good kid and was trusted by her parents to do the right thing. READ FULL STORY »

“No drilling on my ranch!”

Yup, Dallas is returning to TV and we have the first full trailer (don’t get too riled up, show doesn’t premiere until next summer). The preview sort of looks like TNT is trying too hard to have it both ways here — let’s have the old familiar cast plus a bunch of young hotties. Or is that simply being admirably multi-generational? See what you think: READ FULL STORY »

If you didn’t catch it, the season 3 finale featured the West Beverly students graduating from high school. Anyway, Naomi’s mother-of-all parties airs Sept.13.

London will release his debut LP “Timez Are Weird These Days” on Warner Bros. Records worldwide on July 19. To get a load of his funky single “I Stand Alone,” click here.

Solid start for Starz’ Torchwood: Miracle Day: The new international version of the UK hit opened to 1.5 million viewers on Friday night across two airings. Through the full weekend, Miracle pulled down 2 million viewers, a good number for a Starz series. The numbers match the debut of Camelot, which, yes, was cancelled, but before that it was the network’s highest-rated series premiere to date. For more, here’s Ken Tucker’s favorable review of the show.

Sara Bareilles to appear on 'Bucket & Skinner's Epic Adventures' -- EXCLUSIVE PHOTO

Singer-songwriter Sara Bareilles has booked her first TV gig…on Nickelodeon.

Bareilles, who has been touring with Sugarland, will guest star on Nickelodeon’s new comedy series, Bucket & Skinner’s Epic Adventures, playing herself in an episode scheduled to air later this month titled “Epic Rockstar.” In the episode, Bareilles returns to her hometown of Pacific Bluffs to hold a songwriting contest, but trouble erupts after Bucket (Taylor Gray) realizes he accidentally submitted a love song about his secret crush, Kelly (Ashley Argota).

Bareilles says of her experience, “I had such an amazing time getting to join the cast and crew on Bucket and Skinner. Each and every person made me feel so incredibly welcomed and encouraged. I’m brand new to acting, so I appreciated feeling so supported, and those kids are absolutely awesome. I’m a little disappointed I didn’t get slimed…but maybe I’ll be back.” Check out a first look at her appearance below:  READ FULL STORY »

Anderson Cooper debuts new promos for his upcoming daytime talk show

Anderson Cooper will be pulling triple duty this fall: The silver-haired anchor will add daytime talk show host to his list of jobs that include CNN’s 360 anchor and 60 Minutes contributor. Cooper told EW back in January that his fans should expect to see a different side. “I wanted to have something that was as much fun as I have filling in for Regis or the work I did for Oprah over the years,” said Cooper. “There’s a lot of stuff in pop culture I’m obsessed about and follow and I’m looking forward to having the opportunity to just exercise different muscles and be authentic and show the different sides of myself.” You can certainly see that in the first series of promos for his talk show, Anderson, which debuts on Sept. 12 in syndication (you can watch all the promos on the show’s YouTube channel here). My fave is the one where Coop discusses his stress lines and declining vision. Sadly, I can totally relate. Watch below:  READ FULL STORY »
