EW obtained this exclusive first look of the teaser (music video? Random reason to say crap?) to help promote the much-anticipated return of the shows. Hey Dude and Doug? Apparently, you’ve been missed. READ FULL STORY »

Jack Harkness) and Myles (Gwen Cooper) remembered to stop and thank the fans for keeping the franchise alive and well in the U.S.

“It’s so easy to slip into Cooper’s leathers, they are so warm and sexy,” Myles told the crowd. “She is a wonderful character that I fond difficult to let go. To come back to her is a dream.” READ FULL STORY »

Armie Hammer to play the Winklevoss twins again... on 'The Simpsons'! -- EXCLUSIVE

Armie-Hammer-twins-Social

Armie Hammer will double your pleasure once more: In a nod to his role(s) in last year’s big-screen hit The Social Network, the 24-year-old actor has recorded a cameo for The Simpsons as rowing twins Tyler and Cameron Winklevoss, EW has learned. In the episode, which is titled “The D’oh-cial Network” and slated to air on Fox early next year, “Lisa creates a social network site in Springfield and gives too much credit to everybody, so we thought of doing a joke involving the Winklevoss twins,” explains exec producer Al Jean. One of the most anticipated panels at Comic-Con today — heck, of the whole week — is for the return of AMC’s The Walking Dead. Below, creator Robert Kirkman previews what fans can expect from the highly anticipated second season debuting this fall:

EENTERTAINMENT WEEKLY: So what can fans expect at your panel?
ROBERT KIRKMAN: We’re bringing out more actors this year. I’m hoping to get some awkward questions from the audience that I can’t answer too well. And I’ll be wearing a different shirt. Last year my favorite was: “Why aren’t you filming the show in Los Angeles?”

I love the Georgia setting. When you watch Justified — it’s a great show, but it looks like Santa Clarita.
And one of the best things about this season is we’re getting out of Atlanta. It’s very rural. You’re going to see a lot more woods. One of the main set pieces is this farmhouse. It’s going to be pretty awesome, like an Andrew Wyeth painting — with zombies.

In the clip that was released, Rick Grimes is using a rock to kill zombies. Are they running low on ammo? READ FULL STORY »

'Drop Dead Diva': Wanda Sykes makes her debut as a judge -- EXCLUSIVE VIDEO

Like most law-centric shows, Lifetime’s Drop Dead Diva features an always-interesting line-up of guest judges that has included everyone from Paula Abdul to Rosie O’Donnell during the series’ three-season run. Comedienne Wanda Sykes joins that esteemed group in Diva‘s next new episode, “The Prom,” which airs this Sunday, July 24, at 9 p.m., and EW has an exclusive clip of one of her best scenes.

Skyes’ judge is a bit surly, as you might imagine. “Why are you wasting the time of a very important judge?” she asks Jane (Brooke Elliott), who’s defending a teenage woman being kept from her high school prom because she’s a lesbian and wants to bring a female date. “This seems more like a matter for the student council,” she continues. But then Jane pleads her very convincing case, and… well, you’ll just have to watch to see how Sykes (who is a lesbian and an outspoken gay-rights advocate in her personal life, we might add!) reacts. Sassy! Watch here:

Anyone who’s missing the mastermind behind 24 may want to check out Homeland, the latest drama from Jack Bauer scribe Howard Gordon that’s based on the Israeli format Prisoner of War. It debuts after Dexter on Oct. 2.

It’s a pretty heavy drama for Comic-Con but hey, it features V’s Morena Baccarin, who was there to greet her fans Thursday. Here’s Gordon on the drama that also stars Claire Danes and Mandy Patinkin: “This is premiering 10 years after the events of 9/11,” Gordon told the crowd. “The show reflects that it’s a very different world we lived in from 10 years ago. We have the opportunity to handle some of the complexities of where we find ourselves. 24 was wish-fulfillment, this is taking Abu Ghraib and Guantanamo, privacy and national security and the complexities of all those things. Who is the good guy? Who is the bad guy? Who is the hero? Who is the traitor? We are asking in a more nuanced way than I ever got to ask than 24.”

USA boss talks at Comic-Con about a possible seventh season of 'Psych'

Psych‘s season 6 doesn’t even have a solid premiere date yet (ETA: October), but at today’s Comic-Con panel in San Diego, the stars and production team had a positive outlook on the future of TV’s most spoof-friendly series, especially when creator Steve Franks spoke about the show’s plans for a musical episode.

“I’m a big liar because I promised [the fans] that the episode that shoots Monday was going to be the musical, but then I realized that you can’t write a musical in three weeks,” he told the crowd. “So it’s going to be the first episode of season 7.”

Exciting — except the show hasn’t been picked up for a seventh season. But that doesn’t mean it couldn’t be, according to USA Network co-president Jeff Wachtel, who spoke to EW after the panel. READ FULL STORY »
