Look for more Bobbie Mohan-Culp* — er, Ana Gasteyer — in ABC’s new comedy Suburgatory. EW has learned that she’ll recur on the single camera comedy about life in the ‘burbs.
Gasteyer plays the overbearing Sheila Shay, who is a neighbor of George (Jeremy Sisto) and Tessa (Jane Levy). She’s also a pot-roast-making, cardigan-wearing Alpha mom who nurtures her rose garden while sticking her nose into other people’s ‘bidness. The comedy, which also stars Cheryl Hines, will bow on Sept. 28.
Gasteyer appears in the pilot episode.
Here’s a clip from the show:
(*For the Saturday Night Live challenged, Bobbie is the operatic-voiced singer that Gasteyer played alongside Will Ferrell).

This will be a nice follow up to her current gig on Next Food Network Star
My dream SNL mashup? The Sweeny Sisters return to their old Jr. High and attend one of the Culp’s assemblies. #ClangClangClang baby!
Does this mean no more guest appearances on ‘The Good Wife’? I love her as the “In My Opinion” judge!
Great article. I can¡¯t wait to hear more about your research tool. If it is as good as your other products, then you will have another winner. Your article pretty much summed up what I have been seeing too. Great to see some hard data.
