Senior political analyst Mark Halperin will return to MSNBC this week, EW confirmed, after using a vulgarity to describe President Obama on Morning Joe.
Halperin was addressing Obama’s press briefing with host Joe Scarborough on June 30 when he asked, “Are we on the seven-second delay?” Assuming that he could speak freely, he then said, “I thought he was a d–k.” He immediately released an apology, though MSNBC still suspended him indefinitely.
Halperin is an editor-at-large and senior political analyst for Time.
In other announcements from the news cabler, Rachel Maddow signed a new multi-year deal. “She’s going to be around here at MSNBC for a long time and help us continue our trajectory,” MSNBC President Phil Griffin told reporters on Tuesday.

“continue our trajectory”? WTF? Wouldn’t the word be “spiral”?
A downward trajectory is a trajectory nonetheless!
Barry announced today that this is the Summer of Reentry. Hit those retrorockets it’s going to be a bumpy ride you morons.
I do not believe Mark Halprin should be back. What he said was wrong. A time-out should is insufficient for such disrespect. Surely there are other political analysts available for the otherwise decent Morning Joe show who have some respect for the President of the United States. If we forgive Mark for what he said we give permission to others to verbally abuse the country – this is wrong.
at least mark didn’t ask for his head on a plate as other journalists have for prior presidents…..
