A special televised interview between Lady Gaga and quirky fashion legend Jean Paul Gaultier will air on Sept. 12 on The CW, the network announced this morning. In the interview, filmed in Gaultier’s own Paris fashion design workshop, the designer talks to Gaga about her rise to stardom, her insistence on airtight image control, her use of “provocation as a marketing tool” and — of course — her love for art and haute couture.
Bizarrely, this is the first time the two avant-garde fashion icons have ever crossed paths, according to a release. But we’re betting Gaultier (who designed Madonna’s now-famous “cone bra” corset in 1990) and Gaga (who first gained notoriety by wearing kooky underthings literally all the time) hit it off just fine.
Gaga by Gaultier is scheduled to air on Monday, Sept. 12, at 8 p.m. ET on The CW.

On the CW? Ok.
a bit random lol
Is Lady gaga dead?
Is Gaga taking over Madonna’s life? She just announced plans for a coffee table book and NOW seems to be BFF with Gaultier who has so closely worked with Madonna. I know Gaultier is not exclusively with Madonna but it just seems like more evidence of Gaga slowly totally morphing into Madge.
Great article. I can¡¯t wait to hear more about your research tool. If it is as good as your other products, then you will have another winner. Your article pretty much summed up what I have been seeing too. Great to see some hard data.
