Who will preside over a must-see evening of Charlie Sheen being skewered on Comedy Central?
None other than Family Guy creator Seth MacFarlane.
Comedy Central has tapped the acerbically funny writer-actor-producer to host the ceremonious roasting of the former Two and a Half Men star. To get an idea of what we’re in for, here is MacFarlane on his acceptance of the gig: “I’m very excited to work with Comedy Central again on the roast,” MacFarlane said. “Charlie is a true icon with a talent that is strong and pure and concentrated into small crystals which can be smoked or eaten.”
Yup, the Sheen jokes are sure to crack you up!
Added Comedy Central programming head Kent Alterman on snagging MacFarlane: “In addition to his sharp wit, Seth is way more suave and sophisticated than we are. We continue to try and soil him.”
In fact, this will mark MacFarlane’s third time presiding over a Comedy Central celebrity roast, the only person to ever undertake the role three times.
The special event premieres on Sept. 19 at 10 p.m., the same night as the return of CBS’ Men.
Well, it’s official: Seth MacFarlane has become the Dean Martin of Comedy Central Roasts.
What else has he done, roasting-wise?
He did Trump’s, and did it very well. He’s very funny, biting, and seems to be a little above it all, which adds to the humor considering the people on the dais.
He does pretty much all the voices on Family guy as well
he also did the David Hasselhoff Roast as well

I am SO excited!!! I wanted him to be the host the second I read about the roast! I love Seth!!! I can’t wait to see what he has in store for us (and Sheen)! This made my day!

If I had the choice to do either – Seth or Charlie – it would be a tough choice, but somebody has to win…

Because Charlie Sheen is a real person. He has real children. He held a real knife to a real woman’s throat. He had a real gun that somehow managed to shoot a real person. He takes real drugs and has been rushed to a real hospital for a real overdose. And he has been arrested for hitting a real woman.

With grammar like that you are in position to be pitying anybody. So the police made up fake incident reports and the papers (not talking about the Enquirer here, though even they have been proven right on a whole lot of stories) used those reports to write fake stories? If all this stuff is untrue, Sheen could make a fortune in lawsuits…
