Alec Baldwin will be in some rockin’ good company when he hosts Saturday Night Live for a record-breaking 16th time on Sept. 24. Grammy-winners Radiohead, who last stopped by Studio 8H in 2000 with host Kate Hudson, will help Baldwin kick off the 37th season of SNL as musical guests. Radiohead’s latest record, The King of Limbs, was released back in February.

The following week, on Oct. 1, chart-topping country trio Lady Antebellum will make their SNL debut in support of their upcoming album Own The Night, on the same evening that Bridesmaids‘ break-out star Melissa McCarthy hosts the show for the first time. Do we hear a Hillary Scott/Melissa McCarthy/Kristen Wiig rendition of Wilson Phillips’ “Hold On”? We can only hope.

    • alainna

or dule hill and james roday cohost

      • B

YES. James and Dule would be awesome!

      • l

        that would be AWESOME.

    • Almar

That’s What I’ve been saying, He Is On and an NBC comedy and i don’t even watch community that much, He’s friggin Hilarious on the soup.

    • Jason

For real! he can film The Soup somewhere in 30 Rock. They have a green screen somewhere.

  • Poppy

Yay, hope it’s as good as Radiohead’s 2001 performance:)

  • JPX

I’ve never made it through an entire Radiohead song. The music is okay but the lead singer has the worst voice I’ve ever heard in my life. He’s tone deaf and sounds like a whining 10-year old who was told “no” when he asked his mother to buy him a toy.

    • Cindy

Haha, I totally agree, JPX. You got that completely right. It’s so melodramatic that it ends up being boring.

      • Rob

I would love to know yours and JPX’s favorite artists. I bet you guys have good taste in music.

    • JPX

Oh really? Well I love backstreet boys, and nsync, and milli vanilla and bruno mars. Radiohead is too depressing. He thinks too much.

      • JPX

Wow, a fake JPX speaking for me? Sorry, I only like good music.

      • JPX

I forgot to mention that I like Lady Gaga, Madonna, and asian girl-bands.

      • rosales84

JPX to me sounds like u have no good taste of music. Radiohead is a great band, The Lead singer thom yorke is a freat artist and singer, U have other artist and bands that cover alot of RADIOHEAD songs, really Bruno mars. JPX you should listend to more radiohead songs, there albums like, the bend, Ok computer, In Rainbows, Trust me JPX if You listend to more radiohead songs, U will understand.

      • mark

are you mentally ill? you like the backstreet boys more than radiohead? time to call 911

    • Angie

IMO, Thom Yorke has a beautiful voice. Voice of an angel. But I can understand it may not be everyone’s cup of tea.

      • JPX

Yo, check it. Radiohead is slow, depressing, can’t understand a word he says. People want to listen to someone they can understand. Bruno Mars for example. Radiohead hurts my head.

      • Chris

Nice trolling. Backstreet Boys, Bruno Mars? “People want to listen to someone they can understand.” Yeah, I can understand Bruno Mars, but I still don’t want to listen to his sh*t.

      • JPX

You don’t know what good is, that’s my guess. Radiohead had a hit 20 years ago or whatever. I’m over it.

      • Aaron

Agree Angie, Thom Yorke’s voice is out of the world…I’ve always been a huge fan of Radiohead (The Bends is one of my favorite albums ever)….and yes, JPX if you are judging a band’s success by how many Top 40 hits they have, then people like Selena Gomez and Creed have them beat. So go ahead and listen to Demi Lovato or whatever s*it you like.

    • Radzinsky

Lame. Thom Yorke has one of the best, most beautifully unique voices in music, present or past. Keep trying… one of these days you might “get” it.

    • Alana

If you think he’s tone deaf, then clearly you have some issues with tone yourself. Radiohead are extremely talented and they write complex and beautiful music. They’re basically modern classical composers using their knowledge to write spectral art rock.

  • Barry

    2 more crappy music guests.

    • Rob

Let me guess Barry, you want Justin Bieber and Lady Gaga as musical?

      • JPX

Bruno Mars with the robotic voices. Check it.

      • Cris

Geez Rob. You sound like a Twitard. You have to comment and name call anyone who doesn’t like Radiohead? Sad, sad world you must live in.

      • Barry

No, good groups like The Rolling Stones, The Moody Blues, etc.

  • ben

    @Dave

Great suggestion. I’d also want to see Nick Offerman or Ty Burrell to host. And for a musicial guest, I would like to see Christina Perri. She needs more exposure because her album is super-underrated.

  • theBigE

Wilson Phillips’ “Break Free?” What the heck is that? Do you mean “Hold On?”

  • Andy

I’ve never watched SNL in my life. Didn’t know it was still on, but since Radiohead are performing I might have to do the unthinkable and watch.

  • Chris

I’d rather have Radiohead be the host and Abe Vigoda be the musical guest.

  • Chuck

I would prefer if they just cancelled this show already. It’s not funny anymore. It hasn’t been in over a decade almost.

  • Radzinsky

Sweet. I hope Radiohead releases a new album next year!

  • Michael

YES, Melissa McCarthy! LOVE her! Also love Radiohead and Alec, of course.

  • Oliver

I’m bummed Radiohead would stoop so low.

    • Tom

      I’m not.

    • Dave

They’ve stooped lower. Much, much lower. Thom Yorke is an excellent musician, but he’s a total hypocrite and far too pretentious.

  • JPX

    I love 98 Degress and Pauly D!

Radiohead is so boring, I can’t believe they’re popular.

    • JPX

You are just pretending to me. This sucks. I hate you all.

      • JPX

Maybe we wouldn’t have to pretend to be you in order to call you on your sh*t if you realized that bashing on other people’s music tastes isn’t cool.

    • guinevere

Fine, I’ll say it: as obvious as obvious troll is, this “self-argument” is pretty hilarious.

  • JPX

I’m sorry to all those that I offended. Radiohead is okay.

I’m not going to post in this thread anymore. I’m off to listen to my Justin Bieber CD.

  • Clive

It boggles my mind that SNL is still on the air.
