An ex-TeenNick star is headed to the most drama-filled zip code on TV.
Former Gigantic star Ryan Rottman (left, yum) will appear in next season of 90210, EW has learned.
Rottman, whose other credits include a guest spot on Greek and Nickelodeon’s Victorious, will play Shane, a smart, handsome gay 20-something who is confident in his identity and is committed to fighting for marriage equality.
Hmmm, sounds like he’d be a perfect new friend for Teddy. Am I right?
The new season of 90210 kicks off Tuesday, Sept. 13.

Actually, we may all be wrong. Just because there is a new actor playing a gay character on 90210 doesn’t mean Teddy ISN’T still being written out. The mention of Teddy in the article was purely speculation on the writer’s part. Maybe he’s just being replaced, so to speak.

Totally confused by this as I was under the impression that Teddy was a goner. Could this be a scoop within a scoop?
Yeah, Teddy is leaving but they said they would give him a proper send off with 4 or 5 episodes. They will probably meet, fall in love, and run off to New York or somewhere else for a legal marriage or something similar.
Teddy will be in AT LEAST the firs five episodes or so. With the purpose of coming out to his family. I wouldn’t mind AT ALL if this guy replaced him, seems like the producers want a younger guy to pull of a teenager role. And damn, why not, hes delicious.

The actor who plays Marco isn’t returning to the new season, so they will have most likely broken up over the summer.
