'Parks and Recreation': Get a first look at a best-of Andy Dwyer montage

Have you been missing your weekly servings of Andy Dwyer, that shoe-shining, Mouse Rat-fronting manchild from Parks and Recreation? While you await the show’s return on Sept. 22, check out something almost as good as 5,000 candles in the wind: an official Andy montage culled from the first three seasons of the Indiana-set comedy! Watch Andy (Chris Pratt) run an ill-fated receiving route in the parking lot, exhibit terrible waiting skills, vividly demonstrate how food gets converted into energy, and much more! (You won’t see him rattle off the list of former band names here, but surely that’ll be included in part 2, right?) Madames and miss…wahhs?, if you would do me the obligation of having… your honor… heretofore… eh, just press play and enjoy your journey into the world of Andymation.

Parks, Community, Louie, South Park, Curb Your Enthusiasm and to a lesser degree 30 Rock and the Office. We are living in a golden age of comedy my friends.

Don’t forget Raising Hope – wickedly funny and intensely sweet.

I have to challenge your assertion that 30 Rock somehow ranks lower than South Park (and Community, for that matter).

    • negatory

30 Rock and Parks definitely. The Office died long ago and even 30 Rock is fading.

can we add it’s always sunny in philadelphia to that list? it probably ties parks and rec for #1 in my opinion.

        amen to that!

I’d throw the 3 abc comedies on there too (mf, ct, happy endings). But the ones listed are definitely awesome!

I feel like most people are going to unfairly judge the office right now because it isnt as funny as it used to be but if you go back and watch season 2 you will see it is one of the best and funniest seasons of in show in the history of television. Park and rec has turned into possibly the funniest show on tv, it is as funny as the Office was in its prime. Community is funny, but it was not as good as the first season and all the tribute episodes and Pierce becoming an unlikable character kind of made it lose some of its for me. 30 rock is great but I think its overrated, espeically by critics, Alec Baldwin and Tina Fey are amazing but the rest of the cast is hit and miss to me.

some of its appeal, I forgot to put appeal. Also Its Always Sunny needs to be included on this list, it is so hilarious

Can’t wait for the new season…Andy is just such a great character.

  • TR

    I hate Andy…the character’s too stupid.
Or if someone is that stupid and working in a city hall, he should be an government employee making $100,000+, not a shoe shine guy.

I want to say Andy’s my favorite character, but then I remember Ron Swanson’s Pyramid of Greatness. So then I think “Ron’s my favorite,” but then I remember Tom Haverford likes Chicky Chicky Parm Parm , which reminds me that Leslie Knope made a back-up plan in case the Master Plan meeting was moved to a boat, which brings us to the misanthropic April, the hapless Jerry, and the Mercedes-loving, ridiculously confident Donna. I can’t have a favorite Parks and Recreation character. They’re all too great. Except for Anne Perkins. She’s just okay.

I loved the story earlier in the season when Ron and Andy were starting to have a little bromance going on. I agree about Ann though. I am pretty sure that at one time or another I have boldy declared that I loved each and every character, except for her. She was kind of useless this season.

this was, literally, the greatest post I’ve ever read.

It is, literally, the best comedy on television.

Really wish these were viewable in Canada :(

  • james m

Joe, there already was a Ron Swanson & Food montage.

  • Dawn

I have a huge crush on Chris Pratt. Love him to pieces!

  • Amy

    Andy Dwyer is awesomesauce!

  • PepR

I hate when the content is restricted to US

  • Sarah

Andy just makes me smile, this whole show does. It’s like sunshine in television format.

  • Ya’ Heard! with Perd

I love everyone on this show. Even Jean-Ralphio cracks me up

    • Jeremy

I love Jean ralphio. I think he might be the funniest character on the show.

  • Justin

Oh, god, That montage was hilarious! Man, Andy just cracks me up!
