If you think most car dealers are crooks, wait until you get a load of these guys.
Discovery has greenlit a new reality series about a reformed ex-con and his buddies who sell used cars. The show, Carfellas, will get a special preview next Monday following the network’s hit American Chopper at 10 p.m.
In Carfellas, Mike DeLucia and his crew peddle vehicles in Long Island. Discovery ordered 12 episodes and the show will debut later this year. Here’s a trailer:

Remind me to never go to Jersey
This isn’t Jersey. It’s Long Island – about 5min from me. Sigh.
Wooohooo! More trash ill never watch! Though i can hear the knuckle draggers just chomping at the bit to watch this.
Jersey (and the other Channel Islands) are actually quite pleasant to visit.
As to this show: I don’t suppose I can blame these lesser cable networks for programming silly tacky “verité” reality shows like this, since they evidently draw some kind of audience, but it makes me wonder exactly who is watching them. It always seems to be the tawdriest, shady forms of business that attract the cameras. From what I’ve seen of them, even the ones that have some obvious suspense or interest (like the crab boats or the custom motorcycle shop) are basically the same thing over and over. One or two episodes and you’ve drained them of any point.
I think these shows attract niche audiences and that’s why the cable networks are into them. They wouldn’t make it on broadcast TV; they’d be taken out after 2 shows; that’s why you don’t see them as much on the networks.
I watched the show…I find it funny and entertaining…if you don’t like it, watch something else!
Thank goodness we have the Discovery Channel to help us “discover” these new “realities”.
Ah, Discovery and the History Channel. All these “reality show” of boring, un-interesting people showing us there really boring lives. I sell cars, I drive cars, I drive trucks, I cut down tree, I run a pawn shop, I look for aliens. I deserve a show, I’m convinced the rest of the public wants to watch me doing this.
This!!
I wonder what will happen when Discovery and History gets tired of these reality shows a few years from now. They were doing documentary shows before, which were far more watchable than this reality bandwagon they’re riding on now. Some of those people might be interesting TV, but they might really be boring when the cameras cut off!
CARFELLAS LOOKS HYSTERICAL , CAN”T WAIT TO WATCH ………
Don’t we all need to laugh and escape? Why would rip apart a program that is made for entertainment. IF you ACTUALLY watched the trailer, this show is hilarious! These guys are original and funny, and know ALOT about cars, which brings in the learning aspect of Discovery. Why bash something that could be good for someone else? People should keep an open mind and and give things a chance, rather than make rude snap judgements!
Can’t wait to watch..looks very funny and we need funny at this time in our country.
Carfellas show looks funny. I may be crazy but I will definately watch it. I need to laugh from all my stress.
I freekin’ agree about the stress, a good laugh and an occasional bj from a nice dame will do the trick, and retractable teeth are a plus…ok back to my Law Review magazine…
