The countdown to the new season of The Vampire Diaries is on. Well, it’s been on. And as time ticks away, look for more and more teasy bits from the new season — like these new photos from the season premiere.

When we pick up with The Vampire Diaries, the season starts two months after the events of the finale and finds Stefan on a “road show” with Klaus, during which they meet werewolf Ray Sutton (played by David Gallagher, who is set to appear in two episodes this season). And meanwhile, as we previously reported, Elena’s 18th birthday party is in full swing (red cups make the party!), but that is likely to go awry in some way. C’mon. That’s not a spoiler. This is TVD, not 7th Heaven.

This summer has flown by but the last weeks before the premiere are always the toughest to get through because there are so many spoilery things cropping up!
He needs a good shave. I absolutely despise facial hair, and if I could afford it I’d have laser hair removal on my own face so I’d never have to shave or buy razors again.
