I keep staring at this new promo photo for Castle and trying to think about what to say. But words truly escape me. It’s. Just. That. Good.
The colors. The styling. Nathan Fillion seemingly plucked straight out of my noir-themed dreams, in which he always co-stars (with me, duh). Oh, and look, Beckett’s (Stana Katic) alive…and fancy looking.
Also debuting in the new cast photo is Penny Johnson Jerald (third from right), who, as reported, joins the cast this season as Capt. Victoria Gates. (Spoilers on that here.)
There’s still too many days until Sept. 19, but hopefully these photos help curve the craving a bit. Check out two more (non-themed photos) below!

Wow. Garbage?? What show have you been watching? Castle is, simply put, one of the best shows on TV right now. And the Season 3 finale was one of the best I’ve ever seen. Nathan is great, but the rest of the cast is also phenomenally talented and wonderful….

And here is an upcoming show that looks AMAZING – Awake on NBC starring the guy who played Lucius Malfoy in the Harry Potter movies. He is a detective living in two worlds, one where is son is alive, the other his wife
@What? I have watched Fringe and I did not like it one bit. And I watched Falling Skies from the beginning and I have still not been able to convince myself to finish watching the last 4 episodes. As for Switched At Birth – I do like that show but only because the Deaf angle is very new and brings a very different and emotional element to the show. And I am a HUGE Firefly fan but I do not appreciate your ‘garbage’ comment about Castle. The show is genuinely good and it may not be your cup of tea but for you to insult Nathan Fillion’s intelligence in implying he would do a show he doesn’t actually like is very presumptuous and highly ignorant. So please refrain from insulting people. You are very welcome to not like Castle and to say so- but for you to call it Garbage is extremely unfair.
I agree that it is not the best show on t.v. but it’s not the worst either. And the last half of the third season was really, really great. The last episode itself was almost like a different show. I do think Fillion has more range than what’s displayed here, but I think he’s having a good time and so am I so that’s all that really matters.

Switched at Birth? ABC Family camp. Enjoyable, but not high-quality. Your votes, disqualified.
The only reason Fillion stays on is because this is the first series he has had consistent success with, however that does not speak to the quality of the product, after all Jersey Shore is popular for some reason. As for the list above, Switched at Birth is a gem of a show, I love the deaf aspect, it makes me want to learn ASL and I love all of the characters except for Regina who I find to be annoying, in fact, if they write her off the show, it would become my favorite show

Aside from the natural charm of Nathan Fillion, Castle is garbage perfectly suited for ABC and who they cater to. he deserves better

Sometimes this show is good, sometimes it’s not. The interplay between the two leads works. The
“mysteries” each week are always solved in a way that relies more on “haha we’re funny” than cleverness… so don’t watch expecting cleverness.

Wow!!!!!!!! That cast photo is fantastic! The individual ones are good too. Nathan Fillion looks adorable and Stana Katic is just stunning. I can’t wait until the new season starts! I agree that there are way too many days left to wait, but the new season starts on Sept. 19th, not the 21st!
Don’t recognize the guy but Stana Katic is absolutely stunning.
Now I want to see Nathan Fillion as some hard-boiled detective in some steamy noir thriller. Just goes to show he would probably be awesome in anything, but won’t, because Hollywood is stupid and loves its incestuously limited handful of actors, while ignoring true talent.
I don’t watch Castle because every time I see Nathan Fillion I start pining for the halcyon days of Firefly. I must admit this art is pretty cool though.

Get over it the show is over, it was good, but it’s DUN, like MANY other shows that ended too soon. To not even watch a different show because the other isn’t on is just plain silly.
I think you’re the one who needs to get over it, by getting a life. I’ve never understood idiots like you who insist on complaining about a show they don’t like. Why in the world are you even reading articles about shows you don’t like. Are you that bored? Then you chose to force your idea of good shows on others? OBVIOUSLY peoples’ tastes differ. Okay so we used what we had on hand VERY ripe cherry tomotaes and muenster cheese everything else we stuck to the recipe and it was delicious! PS I love Nathan Fillion have you been watching Castle?
Love Nathan Fillion (Firefly mostly, also Lost) and tried desperately to like this show, but it’s beyond my comprehension how it has not been cancelled, it’s dreadful schlock, I’m pretending he’s not in it!

I’m with you. Followed him through every show including his wasted time on Desperate Housewives, but I can’t stomach Castle.
Both you and Abby are just stupid, the fact our obsession with Firefly says it all.
Seriously, it’s just a matter of your taste. I absolutely HATED and still HATE desperate housewives…but I love Castle. And it’s because the characters are FUN and the dialogue is very well written. As for the person who claims your opinion is not valid because you are obsessed with Firefly, i disagree with her too. Firefly was a terrific show that got cut short because people and the production house screwed up. Kindly do not do the same injustice to us Castle fans.

Wow, Stana looks AMAZING in that third photo. All three pics are great, although I’d like to get my hands a bigger version of the cast shot, just so I can see what’s going on with Espo over in the corner there. (From what I can tell, that’s a pretty badass bomber jacket he’s got on.)
I flew back from Pisa on the same plane with Ms. Katic. She was very gracious and warm to the people who approached her. No, I wasn’t one of them, but she is lovely.
She does come off warm and down to earth behind the scenes. Hope she stays that way ’cause I bet my bro’s paycheck Stana will go places.
I always like how, whenever there is a photo of Nathan Fillion, fans always mention Firefly as well as Buffy and even, at times, Desperate Housewives and Lost. Is there no love for Drive! Oh wait – there WAS no love (or viewers, for that matter) for Drive!
I loved Drive – still have all the aired eps on VHS.
Drive had a great premise and much like Firefly (yes I’m a fan of that too), it was killed of by television executives who wanted to put reality shows out for the lowest common denominator (not to mention IQ point levels) instead of intriguing plot-lines and interesting characters.
Here’s to Castle lasting many more seasons and ending when and how THEY choose.
Can we get a larger version of the noir image? If not large enough to blow up on my wall, then maybe just one large enough for my desktop? (Or maybe just one I can see better) Hubba!

Firefly is one of my top three favorite shows, along with clsasic Star Trek and the rebooted Battlestar Galactica . The comics are pretty good, although nothing will beat watching that ensemble of actors.Firefly had an emphasis on character that was wonderful. The science fiction tended to take a back seat to it, but that was fine with me, especially when Mal, Jayne, Kaylee, and the rest kept me in stitches.-Ianwww.teachthefantastic.blogspot.com
