Fox looking to bring back Breaking In after basically canceling the show earlier this year.
The network is working on a 13-episode order of Christian Slater’s sitcom, which started strong in the ratings then dropped off during midseason and didn’t receive a second-season order. The decision is part of a larger deal with the show’s co-creator Adam F. Goldberg, who’s also working on a sitcom about growing up in the 1980s that sources say the network wants, but studio Sony Pictures TV is bundling the new project together with a revival of Breaking In (sort of like how you can’t get The Godfather box set without being stuck with Part III). The news marks the latest development in Slater’s TV comeback, which finally gets the actor a second season on a show. He started with NBC’s My Own Worst Enemy, then went to ABC’s The Forgotten, and then to Fox’s Breaking In.

meh
Talk Hard!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
So be it.
I don’t think Slater is given too much credit. I find it strange that Gen X-ers who are now heading a lot of TV production companies aren’t hiring him more frequently like they do with a lot of 70s/80s stars that were typecasted (then forgotten) by baby-boomers.
YES YES YES YES!!!!!! Love this show!
This is great news! I loved the first season of the show and was really disappointed when I first heard that Fox was cancelling it.
Really? OK. Should have done this with Human Target.
It would be nice if USA or TNT picked up the rights on Human Target. It would seem a better fix than Fox.
I was thinking that too and Lie to Me would be a good USA show as well
I think it’s called “Person of Interest” now.
Yes. I am commenting on here only to mention that Fox should have done this with HUMAN TARGET. Then I’d be happy.
I am excited!! I think this show has a lot of potential…I especially love the nerdy sidekick dude
Please… no more Christian Slater…
Yes!!! I don’t know why I’m so excited, oh, right Michael F**kin’ Rosenbaum. Awesome!
Same reason why I even care!!
YAY! This news just made my day!!!
I’m so happy! This was a great show and I know it will get a bigger following once more people are aware of it and have a chance to see it. And, I’m with Marten, I wish they had continued Human Target, too.
they will probably butcher it just like the did with The Loop when they brought it back for a 2nd season
Didn’t the lead (Slater was more of a supporting character) get cast in some other show that was picked up by some network?
Bret Harrison (Reaper), and I guess I just saw him guest on that awful NBC summer series, Love Bites.
I liked Love Bites a lot, though it’s easy to see how it had no chance of succeeding. So easy, that one wonders why NBC ever bought it. I thoroughly enjoyed watching it, though.
That show was filmed almost two years ago though, so it couldn’t have been him.
Yay! This totally makes up for the cancellation of Dark Angel, Arrested Development, Firefly, and Wonderfalls, Dollhouse, etc. I feel so much better because FOX saved 1 show out of many awesome shows! Thanks, FOX.
Also Better off Ted. Great show.
Since when was Better Off Ted on FOX ?
I was disappointed Better Off Ted was cancelled… on ABC. But aside from the really funny commentary on the workplace I am not sure where the story was going. Ya gots to have story!
Dark Angel had its official death when they introduced that dog-man character.
You have a huge point. But it deserved another few episodes to wrap things up with Logan and Max.
Dollhouse had to go: Joss Whedon’s kryptonite is maintaining a story exciting. He starts to get geeky and drags the pace focused on tangents or technical stuff. Even on his Dr Horrible webthing there’s a portion that had me bored enough to vacuum the room as it played. I really don’t understand how Buffy lasted as long as it did.
Yay! I loved this show and was so disappointed when it got canceled.
This made my day! Great show.
Great news, thank you!
