MTV has sandwiched Sunday’s big event VMAs with an original episode of Jersey Shore (“Let’s do it!”) and a preview screening of promising new series I Just Want My Pants Back.
If you haven’t yet heard about the latter, it’s based on a novel by David J. Rosen (who’s also a producer on the show) about a group of hipster twentysomethings living and loving in New York City. You can check out the full pilot after the VMAs (the series doesn’t officially premiere until next year) and here’s the first online sneak peak of the show (and, yes, the trailer explains the title):

Actually, this looks alright.
It reminds of: Dude, Where’s My Car?
Honestly, there is no place like this anymore in real life. Just sayin.
America loves crap.
Now THIS looks good! Yay!
This looks great. Good for MTV. They’re trying.
Wow this actually looks good D: Can’t wait to see it
Hi Veronica,Great seeing you at CES. You are RIGHT. CollegeHumor is very funny. I tteweed this link and then did a RERUN of my own tweet after watchign the video. So funny.Loved the begining.See ya! Steve
Are you people serious? This looks stupid like 98% of what’s on MTV. A comedy which isn’t funny except for maybe a couple zingy one liners and funny situations, about a guy who’s in love with a one night stand and spends the entire series looking for her only to fall for his roomate. A group of “dorky” and overly sexual friends living in the big apple with of coarse the one black character, now where is that terrifing smart Asian? Willing to bet my next check this show won’t be renewed. Some of you probally thought The Hard Times of RJ Berger was good also.
Everything Rick said. With emphasis on: All of this over a fricking one-night stand who took your pants?. I guess I’m like a crabby old man and I’m not even 50 yet.
fridge sex? I’m there.
Rick, lighten up. This show looks awesome.
Hipsters are not awesome, by any standards.
Except theirs, of course.
Your new store is lovely; I LOVE those ruolocful rugs.I\’m that artist whose works ended up so well in one of your client\’s home, that K&Co did such a killer job on. Please tell me when the pics are up on your site.
Wow tht actually looks kinda good. “happy.”
Hilarious! I can’t wait for this show!!! Van Der Beek is my gold standard too!
90% of people who watch MTV today (aka teenagers) just unanimously said, “who?”
They know him as “that guy in the Ke$ha video.” *shakes head*
We will be feeding the hoselems in Long Beach tomorrow…hope to get home in time to watch.Everyone always asks what & who they’re wearing, (fashion, jewelry, etc.), so I thought it would be fun to ask, “Are you wearing anything from your own personal closet?
I can’t wait for this!! The cast is awesome.
this show looks pretty nice, which is saying a lot for MTV as of late
Heather W:That is a lotus, which is perfectly manuslice, especially when paired with dragons or koi.In the future, just to caution you, I think “feminine” was the word you were looking for. Perhaps expanding your vocabulary will help others to take you more seriously, and for you to be less offensive. My ex had several lotus on him and all were beautifully done and he got plenty of compliments on them. Now, if you go getting roses and hearts, then, that might be too feminine.
This show premiered this year, it was called Happy Endings.
This looks awesome. Can’t wait!
This looks good. And sorry, Cap, but it looks nothing like Happy Endings, which is truly a snooze-fest. I’m surprised that it’s on MTV….but hopeful.
Hi, a fellow eomhschooler visiting from the hop! well, yeah, homeschooling is kind of a limited subject, but you are right, it is really our one big hobby/job so we think about it a lot and write about it a lot. I do think though, that when we share what we do, crafts/lessons/read alouds and resources we use, that even non-homeschool moms might find something useful/fun they can do afterschool or on a weekend, so I figure it is all good and we can all learn from each other. it’s nice to meet you, I love the name of your blog, very sweet.
Hi Ashley,It’s Cassandra, Russ’ wife I love reading your blog so fun to get a slgmpie into your life. You and your family are beautiful and encouraging! Pray you are all well Keep up the blogging!
I was skeptical but they got me at the “before and after” line. hilarious!
I was worried when the description said “hipsters” but they don’t seem that hipster-y to me. I only see it in the main guy but he seems cool.
