When we last saw Owen (Devon Sawa) on Nikita, he was armed with enough of his Division-supplied pill regimen to stave off the effects of withdrawal for a while. When he crosses paths with Nikita and Michael tonight, however, he’s coming toward to the tail end of his supply — but instead of seeking more, he’s looking to get clearn.

“Before he turns into what Michael calls ‘the Tasmanian devil’ again, he’s gotta find a way to wean himself off of it,” Sawa tells EW. READ FULL STORY »

'Chuck,' 'Grimm' premieres pushed back one week

Categories: Chuck, Television, TV Biz

Be careful what you wish for.

Just after I lamented the impending “beginning of the end” of Chuck, NBC has announced the long-awaited final season will kick off one week later than was previously announced. The fifth season will now premiere Oct. 28, right before the debut of Grimm, which is also being pushed back a week.

The premieres are being touted as part of “two nights of Halloween-themed” programming, that will begin Oct. 27, with themed episodes of the net’s Thursday night comedies, Community, Parks and Recreations, The Office, and Whitney.

InsideTV Podcast: Boston Rob talks latest ‘Survivor’ and his new show ‘Around the World in 80 Ways’

Robert Mariano was just another Boston guy working construction, until he took his talents to the island and became Boston Rob. Four seasons of Survivor, two seasons of The Amazing Race, one season of a poker reality show we’ve tried very hard to forget, and even an appearance on UPN’s The Player as “The Player Operator” later, the professional reality star is now moving over to History for his new show Around The World in 80 Ways (debuting this Sunday). Special cohost for a day Courtney Yates (Mariano’s former tribemate on Heroes vs Villains) joined me on the InsideTV Podcast to chat with Boston Rob all about his new show. But that’s not all we chatted about. Not by a long shot. We also talked a ton of Survivor. Why does Grant still refuse to interact with Rob? How does he like Ozzy and Coach’s chances this season? What does he make of the Brandon Hantz insanity? And, most importantly, will he — or Amber — ever come back and play the game again? You will not want to miss what turns into a very lively and spirited chat. READ FULL STORY »

Hung returns to HBO on Sunday night, and Thomas Jane’s former high school teacher — who moonlights as a gigolo for a clueless Detroit pimp named Tanya — is finally hitting his stride in the show’s third season. But he now has a new younger rival for the hearts of Motor City’s lustful ladies. Entertainment Weekly caught up with a barefoot Jane (That’s his thing. He’s got nice feet, though!) to talk about the new season, Ray and Tanya’s new Orgasmic Living sessions, and what he thinks his craziest moment in the sack will be this year.

ENTERTAINMENT WEEKLY: The first episode of this season really speaks to the bad economy a bit — especially in the beginning. But Tanya (Jane Adams) has an amazing idea to get your business, Happiness Consultants, booming. Talk to me about Orgasmic Living.
THOMAS JANE: Tanya wants to bring our company into, like, a storefront. So she turns Happiness Consultants into a business where we’re, like, above a muffin shop. And we’ve got women attending a class that Tanya is teaching called Orgasmic Living. It’s just f—ing hilarious. My character is thinking, “This is insane.” But it’s working! Women are coming in! Business is booming. READ FULL STORY »

'My Fair Wedding': David Tutera makes more dreams come true in season 5! -- EXCLUSIVE VIDEO

David Tutera is at it again this season on My Fair Wedding. A new batch of blushing brides will have their dreams come true after the wedding wizard works his magic, and I’m R.S.V.Ping now.

In this exclusive first look at the new season, we get glimpses at some of the season’s weddings, one of which includes a living 100-foot red carpet — as in attached to a living person. Other highlights? Fire breathers at a Hawaiian-themed wedding and what looks to be an Eiffel Tower cake for a Paris-themed wedding. But the season’s opener looks to be the real tearjerker. It features a boy who asks the Make-A-Wish Foundation to get Tutera to throw his mom her dream wedding after she put her wedding plans on hold to help take care of him following a life-threatening cancer diagnosis.

Take a look at the video below and get the tissues ready. The show’s fifth season kicks off Nov. 13 on WE. READ FULL STORY »

The competition took a beating Thursday because of The X Factor, which gave FOX a win in adults 18-49 (3.9 rating/10 share) and another chance to boast about its domination (like, how its the first time ever that Fox has won the first two Thursdays of the season). The two-hour show averaged 11.9 million, according to early results.

Charlie’s Angels took a direct hit on ABC — earning a mere 1.5/4, which was down 29 percent versus last week. It averaged 7.1 million. Grey’s Anatomy suffered but not too terribly; it earned a 3.5/9 (10 million) but was still down 15 percent. Most of the damage was heaped upon Kate Walsh and the return of Private Practice, which earned a 2.8/8 (and 7.8 million) and logged its lowest-rated premiere ever. READ FULL STORY »

'Parks and Recreation': Read Ron Swanson's nature diary, excerpted from 'Pawnee: The Greatest Town in America' -- EXCLUSIVE

Justin Lubin/NBC; © NBCUniversal, Inc

Parks and Recreation‘s Leslie Knope has done a lot of an ambitious things in her lifetime — construct her own Geraldine Ferraro popsicle stick action figure, eat more than a thousand dollars of waffles in one year at J.J.’s Diner  – but now our optimistic parks department deputy director has outdone herself: She’s written a book all about Pawnee, Ind.!

Pawnee: The Greatest Town in America, which hits stores Oct. 4, is a complete history of the not-quite-vibrant town made famous on the NBC comedy. (Fans of the show will remember that Leslie had referenced such an opus in season 3’s “Time Capsule” episode.) “It’s a Let’s Go‑type travel guide to Pawnee, mixed with a historical record of everything that’s ever happened in the town,” explains executive producer Mike Schur. “But the premise of the book is that she also got her friends to contribute. So Andy writes about the old Pawnee-versus-Eagleton high school football rivalry, and Ann writes about the 10 weirdest injuries she’s seen working at the hospital. And Leslie can’t stop herself. The book’s got 200 footnotes. There’s an author’s note, a forward, and an acknowledgements page. And a second acknowledgements page. And an epigraph. And then another [two pages] of epigraphs. It might be the craziest tie‑in book project ever attempted, because it’s the entire history of a medium-sized town, but written from the point of view of a slightly crazy person.”

Want a hit of Pawnee lit? EW has secured two exclusive excerpts from the book. You will find the first, “April’s Guide to Hipster Pawnee,”  in this week’s issue, which arrives on stands today. The second, “The Solitude of Nature: A Diary,” was reluctantly submitted by Ron Swanson, which as he notes, was “typed on an Underwood 5 typewriter with original carriage return that I found in a dumpster and completely restored.” Read it below at your own risk, and not just because he calls Thoreau “kind of a p—y.” READ FULL STORY »
