I can’t fathom how the following two promo pictures from Community‘s season premiere are connected. I’m going to go with dream sequence, but with this show, you never know.
At first glance, this photo of Joel McHale from the season premiere of Community seemed mildly inappropriate. (Or am I the only one with a filthy mind?) But upon closer inspection, the only implication being made by this interestingly positioned ax appears to be that Jeff is about to use it on someone. (Look at those crazy eyes!)
Meanwhile, Shirley, dressed in the shiniest ensemble I’ve seen since my evening on the Vegas strip, descending a randomly placed staircase in the middle of the study room. Check it out below:

Community can pretty much do no wrong…must get a new catchphrase as streets ahead is getting old. Love the promo with John Goodman. Only 3 more weeks..I have missed Donald Glover all summer.
If you missed him that much, then you have to familiarize yourself with Derrick Comedy. Specifically “Bro Rape,” “Do You Like Hip-Hop,” “Jerry,” and “Girls are Not to Be Trusted.” Ok, just check out all of them. And their movie, “Mystery Team.” Thank me later.
My only hope is that Jeff is extermely jealous of Annie putting the chapstick on Abed in another promo pic that they released… and then he goes into a jealous rage, gets knocked out, and dreams about the whole school singing and dancing. But I’m sure that whatever they have cooked up is better. Can’t wait!
I share your extremely wishful thinking, I to this day keep rewinding the jeff/annie kissing scene from tje season 1 finale they are hot together.

The ax bit reminded me of Frailty, but the shining is the more known reference. Though, i would like to see Jeff believing that he has been sent a message from god to destroy the Glee club if there is a musical aspect to this episode…
Well, the Glee Club died in a horrific bus crash last year, so i doubt anything he could do would be worse than that.

I love that the writers at EW need its readers to do their editing for them. Who the hell ascends down? No wonder the mag has become garbage. All of its competent writers left long ago.
