'Gilmore Girls' vet to star on 'Pan Am' -- EXCLUSIVE

Is this the kind of airline executive who insists his stewardesses stay skinny and chaste? EW has learned exclusively that Scott Cohen — star of USA’s Necessary Roughness who’s also known for his stint as Max Medina on Gilmore Girls — will play a (skeevy?) vice president on Pan Am this fall.

Medina will portray Everett, a Pan Am higher up, for a three-episode arc that will begin during the show’s fourth week. And what do we mean by skeevy? He has a quirky mistress named Ginny Saddler (Erin Cummings), though his character has been described as “a serious man who is light and fun on the surface.”

Pan Am is a ’60s soap following the lives and loves of a team at the legendary airline. The show premieres Sept. 25.

Was not planning on watching Pan Am, but there is a good chance I will now! I love this actor.

The heck with Pan Am. I want a Gilmore Girls movie to tie up the loose ends and get Rory back with Jess.

    • Rain

      Rory belongs with Dean!

      • Jackie

      • Squee

Dean is a dope. A sweet dope, but a dope nonetheless. Rory would be so bored with him. Jess was her intellectual equal and her soul mate.

      • Rachel

Rory belongs with Jess no doubt about it. The person who said Dean is a dope is absolutely right.

    • Tam

      YES Rory and Jess forever!

    • akri

YEs YEs YES!!! I’m with you..let’s start a petition..lol…God I miss that show..

    • lexi

Please people are still debating Rory vs Dean or Rory vs. Jess. You people need to move on, Jared is now Sam on Supernatural he doesn’t need Rory, when he’s got his brother Dean lol

  • Wynter

    It’s Wolf!

    • Amanda

    • Sarah

      Yes! My thought exactly, haha!

    • Nerwen Aldarion

I know he was on Gilmore Girls but he will ALWAYS be Wolf to me!

    • Zoe

Exactly!!! I was wondering if anyone remembered the 10th Kingdom when I saw this. And the odd thing is, he still looks exactly the same! (He was on Curb last week too.)

    • lilah

      Yup… that’s exactly what I thought, too!

  • Betty

I love him, but only three episodes :(

  • j

Cohen will play Everett…, not Medina will play Everett…

  • postman

are they gonna make it real with everyone smoking and drinking like on madmen

  • Michael

Gilmore girls should come back and just forget the last 3 season

  • Mel

Darnit I clicked on this hoping it was Paris, not crappy Max Medina.

  • googie

Good actor. Don’t know if it’s enough to tempt me to watch.

  • katie jo

Wasn’t he also on NYPD Blue?

  • Roger C.

How long is this show going to last?

  • C

A big yes to the people demanding a Gilmore Girls movie and an even bigger yes to Rory and Jess being reuinted. And a Max cameo would be fun! But more to the point….was looking forward to checking out Pan Am anyway, but now it has ‘Wolf’ I’m definitely in!

  • PiratesDaughter

For the love of God just give us a Gilmore Girls movie already. I mean COME ON!!!!!!! *stomps foot*

    • Jen

      Ditto stomp!

      • Squee

That vibration isn’t an earthquake. It’s legions of GG fans voting for a TV movie to get the G Girls settled.

  • Crystal

you referred to this actor as Medina [His Gilmore Girls character name] instead of his actual name Cohen at the beginning of paragraph two.

  • Rachel

This isn’t going to interfere with his role on Necessary Roughness, is it? I love Nico!
