Lifetime will put John Walsh back to work: The network announced today that it has picked up America’s Most Wanted.
The show that began its run on the Fox owned and operated stations and then moved to the network will return for its 25th season later this year on Lifetime. (In May, Fox canceled the show as a weekly Saturday series because the show was no longer profitable but it will still air quarterly specials — the first of which will bow in October.)
“I’ve always believed there was something very special about America’s Most Wanted and that there should be a home for it on television, and I couldn’t be happier to now be able bring it back on Lifetime,” said Walsh in a statement. “We’ve often been called the court of last resort…now we are back in the game and ready to saddle up for another season to get justice for victims and put dangerous criminals behind bars.”
Hosted and executive produced by Walsh, America’s Most Wanted has helped to capture more than 1,100 fugitives in the U.S. and 30 countries, including 17 on the FBI’s Ten Most Wanted List. Last season, the show averaged 5 million viewers on Fox and a 1.7 rating in the adult demo.

American’s Most Wanted now Just for Women 25-54?
Well most victims of crime are women.
all i care about is that the wb is showing smallville episodes streaming right now – it is currently showing season 7 and some of the best episodes of all time from the history of smallville
well most bad guys are Woman

I hate bad marketing posts
Are you serious I have to get on that site
Huh? What is AMW only going to be featuring crime of women now?
I will say it’s a good thing the show is back on the air, but I’m not sure if Lifetime is the best fit. Maybe Cloo or Chiller or something else?
Remember that Lifetime picked up repeats of Unsolved Mysteries. Will this still be weekly? I wouldn’t be surprised if it was bi-weekly.
Lifetime…just give me my grey’s repeats and cheesy made for tv movies ‘kay?
Good for Lifetime.
Awesome news I hope I get this channel!!!
My brother was recently a victim to a senseless home invasion in which he was killed..the killer has yet to be found and my family is very hurt cause of this and we were all wishing that it was something that we could do to spread the awareness of this senseless crime since America’s Most Wanted was canceled..we now have another option we can try therefore making this so great news to hear that this show is being picked back up by a network not only for my family but also for other families who loved ones were taken away from them over senseless crimes
Sorry for your lost. I also lost my nephew. He was only 15years old,3 months before his birthday. His death was labeled as accidental. Huh… Due to the city and state and people he called his friends got together and said he jumped in a lake, but when you can’t swim I don’t see how that would be a normal thing to do. He wasn’t into drugs or alcohol. So I feel your pain when you say senseless.. I’m so glad to see John Walsh back on television. What a blessing he has been for so many families.Whe
America’s Most Wanted helped capture the man that murdered my cousin. I’m very grateful for what the show has done for so many people, and I’m glad it’s found a new home.
nice
America’s Most Wanted is one show that has made life in America better. They’ve helped capture over a thousand bad guys. Mr. Walsh is a hero.
Good program with a good man hosting it but Lifetime? This would have been better maybe on ION or somewhere else but at least it got picked up.
I could see it on ID TV.
i dont care what channel its on as long as its back on..and after fox was stupid to drop the ball at least there was a network that was smart to pick up that ball that fox dropped ..so good for lifetime …thank you lifetime for putting back on a show that should never have been taking off in the first place
