Andrea Mitchell announces breast cancer diagnosis on 'Andrea Mitchell Reports' -- VIDEO

Some news Andrea Mitchell likely hoped never to report: On her MSNBC show Andrea Mitchell Reports Wednesday, Mitchell announced she was diagnosed with breast cancer. Said Mitchell, “I had planned to be hiking in Wyoming last week, but instead discovered that I am now among the one in eight women in this country … who have had breast cancer.”

Luckily, the news isn’t that bad. Mitchell’s cancer was discovered at a very early stage, and the cancer has not spread. “I’m looking at this as another of life’s lessons,” she said on the show. “For you women out there and for the men who love you, screening matters. Do it. This disease can be completely curable if you find it at the right time.”

In past years, Mitchell has participated in the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure. Watch the video of her announcement below:

EW, JUST HOW MUCH REVENUE DO THESE ADS GENERATE FOR YOUR SITE????? YOU GUYS ARE OBVIOUSLY GETTING PAID FROM THESE LOSERS BECAUSE YOU REFUSE TO REMOVE THESE ANNOYING AND INSENSITIVE SPAMMERS FROM YOUR THREADS!!!!

Hope she is treated successfully and makes a full recovery.

September is Childhood Cancer awareness month. Today 46 kids will be diagnosed with cancer. The average age at diagnosis is 4 35% of them will die within two years of their diagnosis and 1 in 4 will have serious late effects from treatment. Childhood cancer kills more children every year than any other disease.

Breast cancer treatment has come miles from where it was because of the amount of money it has raised for research.

Make childhood cancer research a juggernaut like breast cancer.

Hang in there and keep on fighting!
In addition to yearly mammograms, If you have dense breasts, ask for an ultrasound to be done. If I hadn’t done that, I never would have discovered I had breast cancer. because in some cases, mammograms won’t show the cancer. That’s what happened in my case.

Once again, EW, great job keeping the trolls from posting. I hope you’re not paying the person who monitors these things. If you are, you’re wasting your money.

Best Wishes to you Ms. Mitchell and I`ll keep you in my prayers.

I hope, and pray, for the best for Andrea Mitchell, including a speedy recovery. Thehungersite.com has several charities a person can donate to, including cancer. I go there once a day to click on all the buttons, as well as donating time, and money to worthy charities. Prayers are important, but, donate money to those people who are doing their best to fight cancer, and other illnesses at well. Dr. Jonas Salk found a way to treat polio, and Dr. Paul Erick invented his “magic bullet” to treat medical problems, and there was Dr. Louie Pasteur and his medical discoveries. Support the people who are fighting cancer, and maybe someday, there will be a better cure, and better known ways to prevent getting cancer.
