'Biggest Loser': Ex-contestants will run marathon for finale spot

Not only is NBC having the weight-challenged Biggest Loser crowd run another marathon this season, but, for the first time, the runners will include eliminated contestants. At stake: A spot in the finale.

The premiere will have 15 contestants, divided by age, race across the desert for the chance to choose the trainer they want (Bob Harper, Anna Kournikova, or Dolvett Quince). They will all return to the same spot in the desert near the end of the season for a chance to be in the finale by running 26.2 miles — whether they’ve been eliminated or not. The show returns Sept. 20.

HATE ANNA KOURNIKOVA AND I WONT BE WATCHING THIS SHOW ANYMORE SHES DISGUSTING!

    • Linda K

why the hate. Just because she dumbed down Women’s Tennis – do you think this show will be the Anna Show?

    • Heather

Would you say that to her face jerk monster?

    • michelle Mcpherson

      Me too!!!!!

  • Woot

I’m sorry but that is so incredibly stupid. It is an amazing feat to run a marathon… but to make someone do it, who isn’t actually training for a marathon could be really damaging. I would not be surprised if a good number of the contestants got stress fractures.

    • Heather

It didn’t say they’d be running a marathon the first week, usually it’s a mile tops…and they all end up walking it anyways.

    • Dorc

Have you not watched the show before? They run a marathon at the end of every season now. No big deal…

      • S.O.

there was NO marathon towards the end of last season. I thought that was total BS.

  • Cara

Is that the Tae Bo guy?

    • Pam

No, not Tae Bo guy. That was Billy Blanks.

  • james

Can they drop anna kournikova off in the desert and leave her there?

    • Croot

As long as I’m in the desert, too!

  • lorraine

bring back JILLIAN MICHEALS then ill watch the show again!

    • mistyday

Jillian left the show by her own choice to start a family. She is a fabulous woman and trainer and I will also miss her greatly BUT she deserves to have a life of her own.

      • Tina

Jilian left because she’s now on the Doctors :)

      • Deidra

Jillian is now on The Doctors (daytime talk show).

      • Jack

She wants to start a family but won’t get pregnant because it might flaw her body.

  • shelda

Looking forward to the show, there is only 1 Jillian but the new trainers need to be given a chance. Love Bob and his training. Biggest Loser is the best gives such good advice.

  • Mike

Give Anna a chance. You never know. As for Jillian, she left on her own, they didn’t get rid of her.

  • jessica

Where did they other 2 trainers come from. Anna I heard about, but who is this other guy and why is he on this show?!?!?!?! Im not liking this. The show is just not the same without Bob and Jillian working together. They will start to lose fans =(

    • Micah

Normally I’d agree about the “who is this guy” statement, but when this show started, no one knew who Bob and Jillian were, either.

      • Susan

        That’s right Micah!!!!

  • Susan

The show is NOT about the trainers but about the CONTESTANTS who want to better their lives…Personally it is a great show and has motivated me…I have lost over 50 LBS thanks to the show and their advice :)

  • Beth Stone

I agree with Shelda. The new trainers deserve a chance. My only issue with Anna, is she is not a certified trainer. As far as whether anyone competes in the marathon, or not, they do have a choice. No one is forcing them to do anything. If they have not seen the show and know it usually starts with a marathon, then they shouldn’t have signed up in the first place.

    • Cory

Anna has been certified for a while now.

      • ME!

CERTIFIED? AS WHAT? A BIG OLD UGLY HASBEEN! THE GIRL NEVER GRADUATED HIGH SCHOOL AND DOESNT HAVE A COLLEGE DEGREE! CERTIFIED GIVE US ALL A BREAK I WONDER WHO SHE BOINKED TO GET THIS JOB?

  • Kristy

What a bunch of ignorant people, if you dont like it go away. I <3 Anna and cant wait no matter who is on it! Its not the point to hate on people that are on the show. Sad. I for one CANT WAIT!!

  • twihard81297

I miss jillian!! but yeah u guys atleast give the newbies a chance

  • michelle Mcpherson

what happened with the two trainers from last year??? why didnt they just bring them back???

    • Lisa

I wondered the same thing about Brett and Kara. Kara kind of got on my nerves but she seemed to get results. Thought I read somewhere Brett is working at the BL Resort now?

  • KatieT

I, too, am not an Anna fan, and will also likely not be watching. Last season was disappointing enough with the “new trainers”, now Jillian is gone. I absolutely love Bob, but I just don’t see this show surviving another season without the people that the public really likes on there (hope I am wrong on that, because they really do help people!). And yes, I would say this to their faces.

  • smiley

i hate anna and the new guy i olny like bob
