The writing team behind It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia just earned a 13-episode order for a new animated series.
The team — Rob Rosell, Scott Marder and David Hornsby — will make Unsupervised, which follows two teenage best friends named Gary and Joel.
The show will bow in January as a companion to Archer.
Meanwhile, the seventh season of the half-hour comedy Always Sunny begins tonight on FX. A special three-week run of Archer will air afterwards.

should be hilarious! sunny definitely is!
Kind of misleading. Thought you were talking abut Rob, Glen, and Charlie.
Nothing about the headline is misleading.
Yeah, this is the secondary writing team of Sunny, not the main creative forces. (although Hornsby was the first person to write an episode besides the main 3)
Awesome news. Archer needs a worthy animated companion. The League is already the perfect compliment to Sunny.
Totally agree. I am glad, though, that FX is doing this special three weeks of Archer paired with Sunny. Maybe it’ll get more people to watch Archer.
Seriously? Does Philidelphia have so few blacks that none of the cast is black or at least is cast adjacent? Seriously? Really?
