Hawaii Five-0‘s Steve McGarrett has likely met his match: The leader of the Five-0 team is going to face off against Chuck Liddell.
The former top MMA fighter will flex some acting muscles in an episode this fall playing himself as he fights Alex O’Loughlin’s crime-buster in a charity match.

Liddell has previously appeared in an episode of Criminal Minds: Suspect Behavior, and he was a former contestant on Dancing With the Stars. Hawaii has been bulking up on the guest stars this season, including Lost‘s Terry O’Quinn and Freddy Kruger himself, Robert Englund. The show returns Monday, Sept. 19.

what happened to the team doing serious crimes? I thought, according to Peter, that they were supposed to cover more high scale crimes, something that makes sense for them to do NOT the stuff they were doing last year. Seems nothing has changed. It’s too bad.
If they didn’t have the show on too late, I’d probably watch. A 10pm start time is too late for this type of show.

Liddell would kick Alex’s ass in real life but I’m sure for storyline purposes, they will have the “great hero” win. BTW, I sure hope Peter L concentrates on great writing and better storylines this season because Alex “shirtless” every other scene is not going to keep this show on the air!
I agree “bb”. I’m so sick and tired of “shirtless Alex”. I prefer to see better storylines and drama. Hopefully, the great acting of Scott Caan, Tom Sizemore and Terry O’Quinn will make up for the “eye candy” scenes of Alex!

Because Chuck looks like IQ 20 dumba$$ meataxe and Alex looks smart. So i`m sure that brains will prevail over brawn. he`ll have Chuck smash his head into the wall or such laughs-inducing hero victory.

Seems nothing has changed This show is lame. As always all O’Loughin does is take off his shirt and smile .
Scott is the only one acting there. No wonder he was the only one nominated for a Golden Globe award.
I will be checking The Playboy Club next Monday. Hoping to find some talent there.

When given a better dramatic script, Alex is a damn good actor.
To entertain everyone, the show needs a bit of everything, which it has.
I’d like to see more interaction between Alex and Daniel or Alex and Grace not just Danny all the time.

Need I remind you Renee who received a Globe Globe nomination – hint – NOT Alex! BTW, the only reason H50 is still on the air is because of Scott’s talent. Why do you think the producers try to find any opportunity to have Alex take his shirt off? Because, they know too his acting skills are minimal and leave the real acting for Scott – that is why he gets all the best lines – they know he can DELIVER !
Scott is good but just plays himself – he’s admitted that. And he’s the same in everything he does – like Bruce Willis.
Alex just has a lot of haters like anyone who is really good looking. Folks can’t deal. I always thought it was only hot women who got the hate but guys do too. All the time. Some of the comments about Jensen Ackles and the like are awful. Anyway I for one am all for pretty men on our screens.
Ooh snarky. Alex can act and why shouldn’t women get some eye candy for once! I’m sick sick sick of women half naked on the tv all the time. Good for HFO for letting us have hot guys.
