Celia Hodes from Weeds is coming to TNT’s The Closer!

EW has learned exclusively that Elizabeth Perkins — best known for her terrific run on the Showtime drama — will guest star as the wife of the LAPD Police Commissioner in an episode airing Dec. 19. Perkins’ character, Gail Meyers, gets into some serious trouble when she tries to cover up a potential scandal.

Gail’s husband is played by the great Mark Moses, better known as Paul Young from Desperate Housewives. And look who else is joining the star-studded episode titled “Road Block”– Curb Your Enthusiasm’s Maggie Wheeler, who will play Gail’s friend who is interrogated by Brenda (Kyra Sedgwick). Nice.

The Closer begins its winter run on Nov. 28.

    Her onscreen hubby from WEEDS appeared earlier this season as well. :-)

    Mondays at 8pm central are a barren landscape. Miss The Closer. But Brenda dealing with the police commissioner’s wife in the middle of a federal lawsuit? Oh my, that can’t be good. So looking forward to November.

      My best friend has just announced her wedding with a great man who is a cele+brity!
      They met-via { himillionaires*.сσм }
      It is nice club for rich men or pretty girls mate.
      You do not need to be wealthy or famous, but you can meet your true love, it’s worthy a try.

    Great news, but your headline is very misleading. Saying that Ms. Perkins will “star” on the show makes it sound like she will be taking over for Kyra Sedgwick when she leaves.

    • Brian

      That meant “guest star”

    • Russell

      The show is finishing up as far as I was aware.

  • Agent 00

    Better known as Paul Young?

    I think you mean: Better known as Duck from Mad Men.

    PS: Nice spam protection
