Ummm, why is a 13 year old showing off her cleavage???

    • Marmoset

Totally agree. I thought it was little revealing for a girl that age.

      • C-Dub

If any of you morons would do a little research…Ariel Winter is actually 17. She was born 5/4/1994. I sure her dress was fine for someone that is 17.

      • Karen

        @ C-Dub-Ummmm…pretty sure she was born in ’98. She’s 13.

      • Jill

Oh I know! I was shocked when I saw her on the red carpet. Where is this poor girl’s mother, and why is she letting her 13 year old daughter out of the house in such a revealing dress? I know teenage girls want to be seen as older, more mature, and sexy, but I feel like someone should be providing her with some healthier guidance.

    • agreed

Clevage is almost exclusively used to add sex-appeal and that’s not something a 13 year old girl should be aiming for amongst a group of adults. Her parents, her manager, her stylist, her agent, and so many other adults should have seen that dress was not the right style for her. 13 year olds can definitly try to look as beautiful as they want, but sexiness really doesn’t need to be(and probably shouldn’t be) entering the picture quite yet… It’s a shame all the posts are about her dress, because you can be sure her and a lot of her friends and family will be reading this.

      • Lo

So apparently she is 17? That dress was still waaaaaaaay too old for a 17 year old. I was shocked when i saw her on stage at the Emmys. Even if she was 18 or older, she still looks 13, even with makeup. It would have still been creepy – she looks 13.

  • Aunt Sassy

Um yeah – it was a bit revealing. I actually thought OK, maybe she’s 18 and trying to remind the casting directors out there that she really ISN’T as young as she is playing on TV. Guess I was wrong.

    • Alex F

EW going for that coveted pedo readership.

    • eww

i thought the exact same thing. i can’t believe she is only 13. crazy

  • LoveBug68

She looked totally inappropriate. I was surprised and even argued with my friends that she was probably 18 or 19 and wanted to be seen as an adult outside the show. Color me surprised that she is really only 13. Shameful…Dear Mr. and Mrs. Winter…may we introduce you to Britany Spears and Lindsay Lohan – two girls who wanted to grow up way to fast. Check yourselves before your daughter wrecks herself. Very sad look. The cleavage was so inappropriate.

    • Robin Stinson

Hopefully Mr. and Mrs. Winter aren’t like Mr. and Mrs. Lohan.

    • sarah

surprised?! look at her face! her braces! she LOOKS 13!

  • Curly1

Okay, I love Modern Family and so happy they won for best comedy…but while the cast was on stage for the win I couldn’t stop from wondering what mother/father would let their 13 yr old daughter wear such a revealing dress on t.v.-I am all for girls dressing up, but this was just a bit too much for me. I thought the girl who plays her older sister had a much more tasteful dress on. I have a 9 yr old girl and God help me if she thought this was okay to wear at that age.

    • C-Dub

If any of you morons would do a little research…Ariel Winter is actually 17. She was born 5/4/1994. I sure her dress was fine for someone that is 17. Get off your moral high horse!!!

      • Jill

        She was born in 1998.

      • Moo

Wrong. January 28, 1998. That makes her 13.

      • Lo

        still inappropriate at 17.

    • Nat

I literally could not concentrate on the acceptance speech (which I really wanted to because I was so happy for them) because I couldn’t get over how that dress got past her parents, stylists, friends, colleagues, publicist, agent and manager. I know that there are plenty of 13 year olds showing off their cleavage to boost their self esteem (they certainly did when I was 13 ten years ago) but for someone to be in the public eye like that and set that example? Just horrifying. How many 13 year olds are going to be asking their moms to buy them low cut boob-baring dresses with this example to use as defence?

  • Nicotine

    So many prudes online…

She looked really pretty. Who cares how old she is?

    • Lingo

It has nothing to do with being a prude. It has to do with parents helping their children make wise choices. Cleavage baring dress is not a wise choice for a 13 year old.

  • JimmyH

@C-Dub – She was born in 1998. Stop embarrassing yourself. – As for the dress…so what?

    • Rigby

When (God forbid) you become a parent to a daughter someday, you’ll understand. Her dress was completely inappropriate for her age.

      • JimmyH

I am a father of a 7 year old girl. Would I let her wear a dress like that when sh’e 13? No. But it is not my place (or yours) to judge Ariel’s dress as appropriate or not. Heck, she was put on all the “Best Dressed” lists.

  • royaltyinexile

Look at all the assumptions over one dress. Get over yourselves.

  • Lola

She probably has Hollywood kid syndrome, she’s only 13 years old but acts like she’s 21, I’m not a prude but the dress was a bit much for someone so young, why not do something girlie and cute like Hailee Steinfeld has done?

  • NAM

    Oh brother, here we go..

  • Grandma Palin

How dare this little girl be proud of her cleavage! She needs some strong, Christian parenting!

  • I’m just sayin’

Maybe she ate a lot of dairy products and got boobs early – it’s a real thing!

    • Jill

There’s nothing wrong with a 13 year old having boobs. However, I think there’s something wrong with a 13 year old showing so much of them.

  • Hitwoman

    Couldn’t believe the cleavage…inappropriate!
What was that, “Toddlers and Tiaras-The Golden Years”?

  • bobby joe cleatusfeather jr

    You and me both Pa!

  • bobby joe cleatusfeather jr

Lots of milk in those udders, I could feast for days.

  • bobby joe cleatusfeather jr

She already has a good C cup. Wait until she grows up
