David Arquette talks about 'Dancing with the Stars' and making TV shows with Courteney Cox

David Arquette’s ex Courteney Cox and their daughter Coco were in the house to celebrate the actor’s first performance Monday on Dancing with the Stars — a Viennese Waltz with Kym Johnson that earned him 18 points. Afterwards, Arquette said he’s always around the Cougar Town star since they are business partners on several projects, including a comedy about an ensemble of friends.

“We sold it to ABC. I’m not sure how much I’m supposed to tell because it’s not written yet,” Arquette told reporters afterwards. “We always pitch things. We are doing The Celebrity Name Game with Craig Ferguson hosting. We’re constantly pitching and
working together. It’s part of our life.”

Arquette dug the opportunity to dance for his daughter. “It was so sweet to see her there. It’s a dream for her to see all these amazing dancers and then for her dad to come out with Kym and do this routine. She loved it.” — With reporting from Carrie Borzillo

They’re becoming a class act as estranged spouses and parents to their daughter. Separation doesn’t always lead to divorce and, as far as I know, it’s not a done deal at this point. It’s great that they can support each other. Makes them both look good.

Agree wholeheartedly with your statement Kathi.

Nice to see a couple of class acts in Hollywood. Supporting each other, their child and their careers in spite of their differences!

My favorite part of the show was seeing Coco’s reaction after David said she was the love of his life. What a precious moment.

  • asher

I was wondering if she would be there since David and she still seem to be on good terms.

  • Elle

They’re both class acts, and he proved himself to be a great dad last night when he mentioned that his little girl was the love of his life. I loved that Courteney brought her to the show, and I hope to see both of the Cox-Arquette ladies thereweek after week while David performs.
